History: The Mark of Scribing appeared on Clan Sivis 2800 years ago. In order to avoid potential problems with the other gnome clans, Clan Sivis made themselves useful with a code of neutrality. In addition, they decided to never divulge the secrets of their clients. House Sivis found the Mark of Finding on half-orcs and humans in the Shadow Marches and helped bring them into The Twelve as House Tharashk in 498 YK. In 783 YK, Tasker Torralyn d'Sivis invented the first speaking stones and employed them in message stations starting in 789 YK. This was a revolution in communications and gave House Sivis great influence in the world. During The Last War, House Sivis was able to maintain its neutrality and transmitted messages for all armies, while never divulging the contents to their enemies.
