Yes, your divinities are covered, as is healing with lay on hands paladin and healing infusions artificer.

And don't worry, if PHB3 has a class or race you absolutely can't resist, everyone has one free re-do before level 4.

I figure the amount of Divine Sanction radiant smackdown I'll be laying out will be plenty, and lord knows (heh) that the invoker is all about radiant damage and undead thrashing. :)

My avenger feels so inadequate. Just hacking zombies apart with a fullblade will have to be enough.

Here is Edeya's character sheet. I am still working on a previous relationship with Demuriath, Jonathan's githzerai avenger.

Emily sent me a word document that essentially answered all the questions I posed. She used a format that works very well and has allowed me to share it. If you could all use this as a template, it would be like having a "dossier" on every character, which is what I'm wanting to post in the Dramatis Personae thread. Although Emily answered all the questions, I do not intend to post all the answers in the thread since things like goals in life, arch enemies, etc. are not common knowledge at the start. As the characters get to know each other, the information will be updated. As an example for those who know Ravenblade. At the start of the adventure, nobody knew that he's afraid of ghosts and says "Hmmm...." a lot.

Below are the six questions again and the template to use. I'll use Ravenblade as an example for you. As you can see, the answers to the questions are included in the various paragraphs. I have a lot more detail in a word document than I am writing here, but that's the idea. You can create a very detailed background if you want, but only the basics should be posted initially before the rest of the group knows your character intimately. At that point, more details can be revealed.

1) What deity do you primarily believe in?
2) Have you lived in the Nentir Vale most of your life or just recently arrived?
3) Were you taught your character class by a mentor, school, tribe, etc or instead chosen by fate somehow?
4) What do you want to achieve in life? Choose a specific goal/ambition that could be achieved during heroic tier.
5) Is there a specific race that your character hates?
6) Do you have a nemesis from earlier years?

Family:
Ravenblade was exiled from his clan at a young age after having fallen in love with the chief's daughter. He never really did fit in anyhow, since he was always more interested in the living instead of the inanimate. He has lost all ties to his parents and fears returning to his clan. He recently was confronted with his past again, when his clan chief tried to frame him for murder. Although reluctant, he has been reconnected with the feelings for his childhood flame.

Profession:
Ravenblade was trained by a human ranger named Durendal. He abandoned his life with Durendal after a particular event and lived a hermit's life in the woods of the Elsir Vale. He chanced upon a fey who was knowledgeable in the blade dance and learned his particular style of hammerdance from her.

Personality:
Ravenblade is most comfortable in the forests and plains. He does not understand the ways of city folk and even doesn't particularly like being underground. He sees the world in terms of needs, survival, and the importance of nature in life. There is no such thing as an absolute good or evil for him, but anything that threatens the natural world must be fought. Having been a hermit for so long, he is also particularly naive and repeatedly fascinated with how people can sometimes lie to get what they want, a skill that both baffles and eludes him. In his isolation, he has spent a lot of time pondering life and situations around him. Naturally, given his past, he has respect for the fey and is an ardent believer in the Melora's ways.

Hobbies:
Practicing his hammerdance daily, whether in battle or in meditation. He also enjoys a good cup of milk as opposed to ale, which he has never been able to stomach well. Oddly enough, he can make a mean goblin ear soup.

Quirks:
Says "Hmmm...." a lot, even when he has nothing intelligent to say. Has a penchant for philosophizing and talking more than the entire dwarven nation put together, almost as if living alone in the forests for so long created a backlog of prose. Would rather do almost anything than face the undead. Does not go by his given name and instead uses the self-given name "Ravenblade".

Racial Enemy:
None in particular, but anyone one that attacks an innocent child will likely never do so again if he has something to say about it

Motivation for Adventuring:
He is running away from something and at the same time seeking redemption for something in his past. His companions have heard him mumble things about a ridiculous sound prophecy. Only his companion Mal, the one he is most at odds with, has an inkling of what this might be.

I've been brainstorming the RP angles and bouncing ideas back and forth with Emily. Hope to have those questions answered and sent to you tomorrow, Viktor.

For now, I'll share her name:

Azad Halim al'Zahir

Made a couple small mechanical tweaks (switched skills with dropping Heal for Endurance and languages with dropping Giant for Primordial) and added a background. Will repost the PDF after I finalize the RP stuff, in case things change further.

Feel free to email your RP ideas so far Gary, even if incomplete. I have a lot of options for integrating your characters into the Nentir Vale and the campaign and might be able to offer a suggestion. As yet, I haven't given anyone any detailed background connections, since I prefer to know a bit about all the players before tying things together.

BTW, did you choose Sehanine for the domain power feats?

Well, it was a mix of the Moon domain feat being awesome (as you're seeing the Delve) and the RP potential of Sehanine's portfolio. I've actually got a pretty good back story written up. I just want to run it by Emily before sending your way. She's a VERY good editor. :) I noticed after picking Sehanine there's a major temple for her in Fallcrest, so I've tied that in to why Azad's gone there.

Jon, the image is great, and I like the cadetblue for your speech Lightsteelblue is a bit TOO light.

Awesome picture Jon! I'm envious! Where did you get it?

Cadetblue IS better on the eyes.

That is actually a githYANKI gish from MM1, page 129. :) The MM1 picture of a githzerai cenobite on page 131 might also work...

Realized that I hadn't posted my final character sheet.

http://garyh.net/Azad1.pdf

Only a few small tweaks, and keep in that mind her Melee Training feat is only in there as a place holder until this feat from Dragon 381 is added to the Character Builder in January.

Eager beavers!

That's three down, one (or more) to go. No hurries though, since game proper will not commence in 2009.

I have one suggestion/request. Gary put second wind in his stat block as an encounter power. I like that idea and suggest you all do the same. It's very easy to see if you've used it or not that way.

Mike, is there anyway to give multiple people editing privileges on just one thread?

I was thinking that it would be nice for each player to be able to edit their own character's "dossier" in the Dramatis Personae-Hero(ine)s thread, adding things over time.

Also, is there any way to create a sub-thread off of a sub-thread?

For exampe: Points of Light-Shadows over Nentir-Keep on the Shadowfell

As it's set up, it doesn't really support subthreads - just the levels we already have. It's really just a matter of naming things appropriately. Such is the price we pay for a forum system that i can administer myself. It IS possible, though, to make a high-level category (what we currently have as "campaigns", "general chatter" and "retired campaigns") just for your game, then you could have one more layer of sub-categories. That wouldn't be a problem at all.

I'm OK with giving all the players in a given forum total control over the posts, since we trust each other. If we do what I suggested above, though, then each forum would have more specific control too.
