I prefer one word names and ones that are plural since we're a group. The Seekers might work, but that's a PC class name so I'm not convinced.

Was this 'fighting test' considered an encounter? If so, did we reach a milestone and gain an Action Point?

The skill challenge plus Amalorkar was an encounter, which means you have made your first milestone of the day. Viktor already posted everyone's new AP amounts.

I took Excrutiating Shot as my 5th lvl daily. My HPs changed as well.

I'm thinking of retraining Lan's level 1 daily (mental turmoil) for Recursive Emotions below. I want to clarify the power's wording first though. The effect text states "whenever the target makes a saving throw against this effect". My reading of that is whenever a save attempt is made, regardless of whether or not the save succeeds or fails. Is that correct?

Hit: 1[W] + Charisma modifier psychic damage.

Miss: Half damage.

Effect: The target takes ongoing 5 psychic damage (save ends). Whenever the target makes a saving throw against this effect, one enemy you can see takes psychic damage equal to your Wisdom or Constitution modifier, and one ally you can see regains the same number of hit points.

Aside from that I will take Invitation to Defeat level 5 daily and retrain Impatient Strike at will back to demoralizing strike so I can follow-up invitation to defeat with an action point burst attack (augment 2). As you can see, invitation is a forced pull power that weakens with a sustaining effect. The follow-up demoralizing strike burst would do 1d10+11 damage on a hit and -3 defenses. After that Sentinel and can teleport swap positions.

The nice thing about invitation is that the extra 5 damage to enemies adjacent to Lan UEE can occur "the first time each turn that an enemy adjacent" to Lan takes damage. I think that means during all PC and enemy turns, otherwise it would say "each round" or "during your turn".

Invitation to Defeat
Standard Action Close burst 5
Target: Each enemy in the burst
Attack: Charisma vs. Will
Hit: You pull the target 5 squares. Any target pulled to a square adjacent to you is weakened (save ends).
Effect: Enemies are weakened while adjacent to you. In addition, the first time each turn that an enemy adjacent to you takes damage, that enemy takes extra psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier. This effect lasts until the end of your next turn.
Sustain Minor: The effect persists until the end of your next turn.

Demoralizing Strike
Attack: Charisma vs. AC
Hit: 1[W] + Charisma modifier damage, and the target takes a -2 penalty to all defenses until the end of your next turn.
Augment 1
Hit: 1[W] + Charisma modifier damage, and the target takes a penalty to Will equal to 1 + your Constitution modifier until the end of your next turn.
Augment 2
Close: burst 1
Target: Each creature in the burst
Hit: 1[W] + Charisma modifier damage, and the target takes a penalty to all defenses equal to 1 + your Constitution modifier until the end of your next turn.

I agree with both of your interpretations. I think the reason why it is every turn is because the power has no regular damage and it is somewhat situational for a perfect use of it. Plus, you mainly use reach, which means that you don't often want them adjacent to you.

I didn't have anything to choose at level 5 for my Essentials PC. I got Cunning Escape, an encounter defense/movement power. +4 to defenses against an attack as an interrupt, then after the enemy finishes their turn, I can shift 3. Pretty cool.

I think I need to go with Shielding Fire for my lvl 5 daily. It's the closest for Sentinel's "don't you dare touch my friend" theme. Some levels just aren't that interesting...

Ok, I am going to try to get this started again tomorrow. If not, Thursday. I have been updating the wiki, although it isn't done. Once it is, I will post a link and it should help you guys remember what has gone on (once the PCs and story are updated, I will get to the side things). I still need level 5 info from Viktor and Jon.

Got your updates, Viktor. With demoralizing strike augment 2, keep in mind that each creature in burst means allies as well.

I still need Jon's level 5. I am not sure there is even a decision to be made for the Essentials build. If there isn't, Gary can you let me know what is new for Kurvilis at level 5? Thanks.

Mages are the most non-Essentials of the Essentials classes. Jonathan has a couple of big choices.

Expert Mage - Choose one of the schools of magic you have the Apprentice Mage benefit for and gain the associated Expert Mage benefit.

Daily Powers - The Mage can add two level 5 daily powers (from any wizard daily power that level or lower) to their spellbook.

I don't really have the time right now to research level 5 illusionist-friendly wizard spells.
