Under Salazar's blast of fire, the witch collapses dead. The big cat gets a bit singed for 8 damage. Salazar looks around, but can't detect the invisible shadar-kai.

"Mal, how goes things on your side of the camp? Over here, I can't keep this slippery beast from throwing her arms around me even though I keep pushing her away." shouts Ravenblade in a very obviously dwarfish attempt at humor.

OOC: I think Josh intended for Pike Hedge to be active, so when orange charged Mal in post 346, it would have triggered the Pike Hedge attack when it entered space i7 (within his weapon's reach). Then, whether the initial pike hedge attack hit or missed orange, orange would have taken his STR mod damage for moving adjacent to him as per the effect text of the power.

Edit: Looking back I think his pike hedge was already triggered, so I guess orange just takes STR mod damage for moving adjacent to him.

Mal is about to shove the warrior when he feels a tug from his couters correcting his aim. The shadar-kai is shoved forward. Her armor protects her from Daggoth's axe, but she cannot avoid breathing the stinking air. 1d10+9=14 The poison overwhelms her and she suffocates.

Mal looks hard to try and spot the invisible blademaster, but he can't make out any sign of him - that is until he tries to stand next to the campfire. He practically walks into a sharp blade, taking 11 damage and becoming blind (until the end of the blademaster's next turn).

Ravenblade frowns in confusion as he sees a deep gash appear in Mal's side while he was moving. He scratches his head for a few seconds. He squints. He bites his tongue in concentration. Then his eyes go wide as he has a thought. "Hmmm...I think Mal might have just walked into an invisible blade behind you Daggoth." he says loudly for all to hear.

OOC: I guess that means blue blademaster is standing at G5. This battle, like the one Mike did in ToV, remind me of battleship.

The panther's hide is thick enough to protect it from Daggoth's waraxe. However, a telltale "Ahhh, that's cold!" gives away the blademasters presence, directly behind Daggoth, as the shadar-kai and Mal take 6 damage.

"I shall teach you some manners, scally brute." and blademaster stabs Daggoth for 4 damage and the fighter is blinded until the end of the shadar-kai's next turn. Lastly, the panther moves out of the stinking cloud around the back of the campfire.

The panther 1d10+9=14 feels the sting of the noxious gases and then claws at Daggoth. Once again, the dragonborn's armor protects him from the big cat.

I forgot about Pike Hedge. It will be 2 damage since panther is insubstantial.

Happy with the cloud's effect, Hedoni sustains the stink and moves it to cover the pink warrior, and hopefully the invisible blademaster. He then launches an orb of force at the panther.

Minor Action: Sustain Stinking Cloud
Move Action: Move Stinking Cloud to D6
Standard Action: Cast Force Orb at Spectral Panther

Stinking Cloud attacks: (1d20+11+1=27, 1d20+11+1=16, 1d10+9=12)
Force Orb: (1d20+11+1=20, 2d8+9=22)

Stinking Cloud hits Fort 27 on Pink Warrior and Fort 16 on Blue Blademaster (if in the zone) for 12 poison damage. The zone blocks line of sight. If two or more enemies are hit, each takes 2 more damage. Anyone entering or starting in the zone takes 1d10+9 additional damage.

Force Orb hits Reflex 20 on Spectral Panther for 22 Force damage. If this hits, and Blue Blademaster is adjacent, he is attacked (1d20+11+1 vs. reflex for 1d10+9 damage).

The warrior takes 12 poison damage as the wizard's cloud moves over her (I don't think you need to do attack rolls once the cloud has already been cast). Unfortunately, the panther is quick enough to dodge the spinning orb. There is no sign that the invisible foe was harmed.

The shadar-kai gets hit with another breath of stinking air for 13 damage. 1d10+9=13 and 4 from Mal's pike. She then attack the blind dragonborn. Her katar nicks the back of his ankle for 6 damage, but his Achilles tendon is injured (restrained, save ends)

Salazar looks for the invisible shadar-kai, but can't see the nose in front of his face. Changing tactics, he lets loose a blast of icy air that chills some of his foes, knocking some of them prone.

"As you can see, I'm about more than just fire now, you Shadowfell poseurs!"

Minor action - Perception to find Blue.

Perception (24H) (1d20+3+1=6)

Standard action - Rimestorm against Pink, Panther, and Blue (of in area). Close blast 3, enemies only.

Rimestorm - Pink, Panther, Blue (24H) (1d20+12+1=20, 1d20+12+1=17, 1d20+12+1=15, 2d8+14=23)

Hits Fort 20 for 23 cold damage against Pink, hits Fort 17 for 23 cold damage against the panther, and (if in the area) hits Fort 15 for 23 cold damage against the Blue. On a hit, I knock the target prone and the target also takes a -2 penalty to Fortitude until the end of your next turn.

Readying my Sudden Scales power, +7 defense against the next single attack that hits me, added after the hit is determined but before the damage is revealed.

After Salazar's frosty display, Ravenblade decides to make his move. He concentrates on his replendent circlet to give Mal an edge against the panther for the rest of the battle (CA for Mal against panther until end of the encounter).

He then moves to flank the panther, hoping not to be stabbed by an invisible blade on the way (move to F3). With both his craghammers, he attacks like wolf jaws.

Salazar manages to finish off the last visible shadar-kai, but the others are strong enough to withstand his spell.

Ravenblade moves next to the panther and feels no stabbing pains. As the dwarf comes near, the cat's tail whips out and bashes him for 5 damage. Both of his attacks hit for 21 total damage. The animal now appears to be limping.

Thinking for a change, Ravenblade says. "Mal, if you step back then Daggoth can take your place flanking this panther."

OOC: Josh, either before or after your attack, it would be good to have Mal step away so Daggoth can get flanking bonus. Mal has CA against panther regardless of position due to resplendent circlet.

To the dwarf, Mal says, "Arombalosh, let me handle the tactics. Can't you see that Daggoth is stuck in the muck and can't see well?" Then, raising his voice to the rest of his friends: "Liberators, attack the panther now! Daggoth, MOVE IT!!!"

The warlord then takes a mighty hack at the panther and cuts into it, making it more vulnerable to attacks.

Minor Action: Inspired Belligerence (Until start of next turn, allies gain comb. adv. and +4 to dam. against target)

Minor Action: Improved Saving Inspiring Word +1 (One ally gets Healing Surge +2d6+5 HP or Healing Surge +5 HP and a saving throw)

OOC: Daggoth is restrained, so he can't easily move into my spot. Besides, I had a much better plan for getting him CA, thank you very much. Anyways...IB on Panther, granting CA and +4 to damage for all allies, IIW on Daggoth, healing him for, I think 28 HP, and give him a save before his turn. Then, WS on Panther, hitting AC 32 for 16 damage (or 8 because of insubstantial) and granting everyone +5 to damage against the target. So, everyone has CA and +9 to damage against the Panther.

Ravenblade is once again amazed at Mal's tactical capabilities. He had a good feeling about this one, ever since he seem him with Daggoth that day in the Elsir woods. "Hmmm...that also does the trick."

OOC: I missed that Daggoth was restrained. Your plan for getting him (and all of us) CA is definitely a good one, although I don't see how you would have been able to use inspired belligerence without Ravenblade first flanking with Mal (or resplendent circlet), thank you very much. ;) I'm really glad I got that circlet, it's been handy every battle.
