Blinded, Ravenblade envisions the clearing in his mind when last he saw it. He uses his hearing, his smell, and partially the touch of moving air on his cheeks and beard to orient himself, sense the others around him, and prepare to move. He shifts around the camp in a wild pattern through the spaces of his allies, to end up on a different side of the camp fire (serpentine dodge to E5, via H5, G4, F4). Once there, he sweeps his bloodthirsty craghammer around him in a circle.

1d20+14+1=28, 1d10.minroll(3)+10=20, 1d20+14+1=30, 1d10.minroll(3)+10=20 Sweeping Whirlwind against pink and orange (base hit 14, +1 24h, base damage 10)

OOC: Serpentine dodge grants Ravenblade +3 all defenses until end of his next turn (+4 if he passed adjacent to blue blademaster during his shift I suppose). Sweeping Whirlwind hits pink 28 vs AC for 20 damage and hits orange 30 vs AC for 20 damage. On a hit, pink is pushed to into the trench (A5?) and knocked prone, orange is pushed 4 spaces to H10 and knocked prone.

Ravenblade darts about and knocks both warriors back several paces,

The witch keeps the writhing shadows around her as she moves forward. Salazar feels the wisps of shadow swirl about him, but he takes no necrotic damage. She points three fingers at Salazar, "May your heart and mind be plunged into blackness." He takes 6 damage and his vision becomes darkened (no line of sight more than 2 squares away from him, save ends).

The fight broke out so suddenly, Daggoth is having trouble singling out a target.

Salazar, eager to try his newly acquired draconic power in a real fight, simply stands amidst the witches shadows and lets loose a roar of thunder in the direction of the witch and the panther. Both foes are slammed by the powerful sound, and their confidence is shaken. Salazar also easily shrugs off the witch's hex.

Standard action - Thundering Roar against Witch and Panther.

Thundering Roar Witch and Panther (24H) (1d20+12+1=21, 1d20+12+1=32, 2d6+14=21)

Hits Fort 21 for 21 thunder damage against the witch, and hits Fort 32 for 21 thunder damage against the panther. On a hit, the target takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls until the end of my next turn.

End of turn - Save vs reduced vision:

Save vs reduced vision (1d20+1=16)

Success!

Readying my Sudden Scales power, +7 defense against the next single attack that hits me, added after the hit is determined but before the damage is revealed.

Note: Salazar has 53/59 HP right now, since his new HP total is lower than before.

Daggoth waits a moment before making his move.

Salazar unleashes a torrent of thunder on the nearby enemies. The witch winces and covers her ears, but it does no good. She takes the full force of the sound which leaves her ears ringing. The panther however seems to be used to such loud noises and is not affected.

Mal touches the stone at his breast and gains some insight to the witch as he walks around. "Daggoth, let's get rid of this witch first!" The warlord then readies an attack for when the fighter comes near. (If you move to I6, the panther would have to move to get you and I can use Pike Hedge if it does that).

Mal learns that the witch is not vulnerable to any particular type of damage and that her Fortitude is weakest. As the tiefling steps inside the witch's surrounding shadows, he takes 5 necrotic damage. Then, as Mal moves past his cousin, he feels the sharp jab of a blade on his side for 8 damage and the world goes dark (blinded until the end of Blademaster's next turn). Finally, he waits for Daggoth to move into position before attacking.

OOC: For what it is worth, IIRC, he has to maintain movement. Any burst that slows or knocks prone or some such would do wonders.

OOC: problem is those are pretty rare even for casters, and almost nonexistent for us melee types, unless I completely missed something during character creation

OOC: Didn't know about him having to move to maintain invisibility. I would have used sweeping whirlwind without moving, since I think he was next to Ravenblade at the time. He looks to be at either G5 or H6, based on Emily's description of him hitting Mal as Mal moved past Salazar.

However, we can all roll perception rolls as minor actions to try and detect him. I just didn't do it since Ravenblade is already blinded.

Daggoth easily slams his waraxe into the witch's side and blood begins to stain her robes. Her shadow aura doesn't bother him. However, as soon as the fighter comes close to the panther, it's tail whips out and bruises Daggoth for 6 damage.

Mal senses something moving nearby and instictively lashes out with his glaive. The invisible blademaster takes 12 damage and moves on. However, considering none of you felt any stabbing pains, the invisible shadar-kai must have missed.

The panther lunges at Daggoth, but misses.

Ravenblade blinks rapidly, adjusting to his surroundsings, as his vision returns to him. His head whips back and forth and he realizes the invisible assailant must still be invisible. "I can see again! Mal? What are your orders?"

OOC: I think Rav can see again at the end of blademaster's turn. What's our strategy here? Do we have one? Lot's of injured enemies. Should we concentrate on one or two?

Happy perched in the tree, Hedoni pulls out an old favorite spell, the Stinking Cloud. He sets it off on the south end of the field, and it encompasses the witch, her panther, and one of the warriors.

Standard Action: Cast Stinking Cloud on H9, hitting Shadar-kai Witch, Spectral Panther, and Orange Warrior (and Blue Blademaster if he's in the zone).

Stinking Cloud attack: (1d20+11+1=24, 1d20+11+1=13, 1d20+11+1=28, 1d20+11+1=21, 1d10+9=19)

Stinking Cloud hits Fort 24 on Shadar-kai Witch, Fort 13 (FLUB) on Spectral Panther, Fort 28 on Orange Warrior, and Fort 21 on Blue Blademaster (if in the zone) for 19 poison damage. The zone blocks line of sight. If two or more enemies are hit, each takes 2 more damage. Anyone entering or starting in the zone takes 1d10+9 additional damage.

I'm always forgetting my +2 damage for multiple hits for Destructive Wizardry.

Shield spell and Staff of Defense are readied if I'm hit.

Invisible opponents do not provoke OA PHB 281, so I used PH.

"Where is he...." whispers Ravenblade quietly, eyes shifting around.

OOC: Yes, invisible opponents don't provoke OA's and I think they can also move through your spaces. Josh, you gnome in PoL is invisible right now, so you have lot's of tactical options to get at anyone. <hint, hint>

Hedoni creates a massive posion gas cloud around the other tree. The panther seems fine for now, but the two sharar-kai begin hacking and coughing.

Orange takes 15 damage simply from breathing while standing up. "Can't breath! Must get out." 1d10+9=15 . She then charges out of the cloud at Mal. The warrior's katar cuts the tiefling for 7 damage.

Pink stands up and then heads for Ravenblade. "Hey, I don't like being pushed around by pint-sized hairballs. You better be careful or you might drown in a puddle." The dwarf takes 8 damage from her blade.

Turning to the warrior that just hit him, he grins at his prey and then deftly shifts around the foe to his opposite side, striking out. "Let's see if I can't push you around some more, you ugly perversion of elven nature." He follows through with another double attack.

1d20+14+1=18, 2d10.minroll(3)+10=20 Evasive strike against pink

1d20+14+1=31, 1d10.minroll(3)+10=15, 1d20+13+1=22, 1d10.minroll(3)+9=15 Thundertusk boar strike agains pink

OOC: I think Rav's HP should have been at 52 at beginning of this turn, but he will gain 8 for using an action point and so stays at 60. HQ on pink. Evasive strike shift to C3, then hits 18 vs AC for 20 damage. ACTION POINT: thundertusk boar strike hits 31 vs AC for 18 damage (15+3 from HQ) and 22 vs AC for 15 damage. If one thundertusk hits, pushing to E5. If both thundertusks hit, pushing 5 spaces to i7, via the fire pit. I hope both hit, cause that would be extra fire damage, stinking cloud damage, and pike hedge damage.

After exchanging insults with the shadar-kai, Ravenblade's first and last attacks miss. His second attempt hits for 18 damage, pushing the warrior one square.

The witch takes heavy dose of poison into her lungs before teleporting out of the stinking cloud. 1d10+9=17 She barely has the strength stand, let alone cast another spell and her aura faulters. "Take me my Queen," the witch pleads faintly. She tries to fire off some necrotic energy towards Daggoth, but she is too weak.

OOC: I don't feel confident enough in where Blue is right now to burn my Rimestone power. Hopefully we'll have a better idea next round.

Salazar moves forward and lets loose a blast of flame that encompasses both the witch and the panther.

"I may have new powers since last we met, but I still know a thing or two about fire!" the sorcerer declares.

Move action - Shift to H6.

Standard action - Burning Spray against Witch and Panther.

Burning Spray Witch and Panther (24H) (1d20+12+1=27, 1d20+12+1=27, 1d8+14=16)

Hits Reflex 27 for 16 fire damage against the witch, and hits Reflex 27 for 16 fire damage against the panther. On a hit, the next enemy that hits me with a melee attack before the end of my next turn takes fire damage equal to my Strength modifier (+4).

Readying my Sudden Scales power, +7 defense against the next single attack that hits me, added after the hit is determined but before the damage is revealed.
