OOC: Thanks, didn't remember Kurv used his daily. I also see now how Khav has 5 hp remaining. I was confused because I'm used to Emily putting temp hp before actual hp and the "HP/31" baffled me :oops:. In any case, looks like Jonathan is back.

Without an enemy on the ship to fight, Sentinel moves towards the back of the coach and takes aim at the nearest goblin.

OOC: If Gary responds in time, Sentinel can minor action action swap his location with anyone in the party. OOC: Stratawhat? We're really hurting on the mobility front. I think that we'll need Kurvilis to keep the blasting at range going while Khav flies about going all stabbity. I was thinking of trying to get the ship back under control if no targets are within melee range when Sentinel's next turn pops up.

OOC: The goblins have 30 something hp and are all flying on soarsleds. I had thought to use Kurv's phantom chasm daily next to immobilize them, but didnt' realize it was already used up. Phantom Bolt might be best for Kurv to slide a goblin off a sled. Kurv also has CA against two of the goblins currently and is invisible right now. Lan will heal Khav and then double attack Aric Blacktree with his glaive and action point. Other than that, k-k-k-kill them allllll! ;) Although we might want to capture Aric for questioning.

Sentinel moves to the ship controls and hacks at the goblin next to the skycoach with a loud BOOM!, nearly dropping the goblin (12 damage to C, WLR, 1d6+3 dam if it moves away from Sentinel). The goblin tries to move away from Sentinel, but drops dead from another BOOM! as he does so (5 damage to C, C is dead).

OOC: For what its worth C had 1 HP left. Since he was on a soarsled, he had to move at least 2 squares or fall (and die). If he moved away from Sentinel, auto-death; if he moved by Sentinel, OA; if he tried attacking Sentinel, auto-death, So, I figured as hurt as he was, he would try to move away. That was a FANTASTIC damned if he does, damned if he doesn't move.

Oh, and to reiterate, A is actually at G15.

Lan looks at Aric near the ship's bow and grinds his teeth in frustration at not being able to attack him. He quickly switches to his glaive and swings it hard at the nearest goblin soaring alongside the ship instead. As his weapon strikes, he sends a surge of terror into the creature, demoralizing it. Looking around at his companions, Lan sees blood flying away from Khav's chest. Squinting against the wind, he spreads the fingers of his left hand out towards the half-orc and allows him to forget his wounds momentarily.

1d20+8+1+1=23, 2d4+4=9 Demoralizing Strike vs goblin B (+1 24h, +1 impending victory)

1d6=3 Ardent Surge bonus

OOC: I was going to go for Aric twice, but then realized I'm one minor action short to heal Khav then, so only attacking goblin B for 23 vs AC doing 9 damage and -2 all defenses until end of Lan's next turn. Ardent Surge heals Khav for 10 hp and +1 all defenses. Questiom: do you have to be adjacent to an enemy for oath of enmity to work or can you use a reach weapon?

OOC: That's a good question. It's a melee attack but then says "the target is the only enemy adjacent to you." I imagine that you have to be adjacent for that. You spent a minor action to get a weapon out anyways. I'll resolve Lan's turn later tonight.

Kurvilis, invisible, uses the advantage gained by that to try to knock one of the archers off of his sled.

Phantom Bolt vs D 1d20+6+1=18, 1d8+5=9 Hits WILL 20 (forgot CA for being invisible) for 4 psychic damage, and on a hit, sliding D off sled to F13.

OOC: I still haven't had a chance to do my stat box for lev 2, but will have that for this evening.

Kurvilis tries to knock one of the goblins off his soarsled, but the archer holds on for his life (4 damage to D, makes save vs. falling off, is prone).

The prone goblin then stands up and moves forward, trying to get back at Kurvilis, but sends the arrow through the canopy instead. The other goblin in the back moves forward and fires an arrow at Lan, striking him in the leg (7 damage to Lan).

The skycoach continues to lurch forward, narrowly missing the towers and other flying vehicles.

OOC: Khav is at G19, D is at H17, B is at B17.

Lan grunts at the pain of the arrow hitting him and grimaces as he sees all the foes, and Khav, way behind the sailship.

OOC: Josh, sorry to ask this, but could you please extend the map to include where all those errant goblins and Khav are. It would be easier for us to assess distance and move speeds that way. It doesn't have to look fancy.

Khav flies back at Blacktree and cuts deeply into his skin (20 damage to Aric, Aric is rattled until end of Khav's turn).

Blacktree takes flight again to the front of the ship and shoots his lightning back at Kurvilis and Khav, hitting both (9 lightning and necrotic dam to Kurvilis, 14 lightning and necrotic dam to Khav, both are weakened until end of Aric's next turn).

(I know Sentinel will use his AoS, and I figure it would be on Kurvilis, but I am not sure how he would choose. This is a ranged attack, so I think they resolve separately and I technically hit Kurvilis first. In any case, I will let Nathan choose who to protect.)

The goblin on the left side of the skycoach moves up and shoots an arrow at Lan, and the arrow just whizzes by the ardent's ear.

"Sentinel! Is there any way you can steer the ship a little starboard so that Blacktree is above the deck?! I want to capture him alive and prevent him from plummeting to his death!"

OOC: I we attack Blacktree now, I think he'll fall to his death. Don't know if Sentinel has the necessary skills to fly the ship though, just a suggestion.

With a thought, Sentinel dampens one of Blacktree's attacks, but he cannot aid both his companions. Grasping the controls, Sentinel feels odd. Almost as if he has an affinity with the machine and bound elemental. Wrestling with the machine, he pushes his arcane knowledge to its limits in an attempt to bend machine and elemental to his will.

Actions:
Standard: Arcana check to control the Skycoach. (24Hr) (1d20+10+1=24)
Move: Arcana check to move the Skycoach. (1d20+10+1=27)
OOC: If either check fails, I'll burn an action point for a second chance. I'd like to move the skycoach such that Blacktree is over the coach, ideally at D6 or E6. As for who to use the Aegis to protect, in a game that was done in person, I would have used it whenever I could. Here, I think Gary needs the help more than Kurvilis right now.

OOC: EDIT: Josh, since it's a simultaneous attack, protect Khav. While Kurvilis is Sentinel's buddy, Sentinel wouldn't want to mop half-orc off the Sharn streets. 8)

Lan feels the ship begin moving towards Blacktree and looks back at Sentinel concentrating on the controls. "Yes! It's working! Just a...little bit...further!" he encourages.

OOC: Nicely done! Great rolls! I love it when the dice end of rolling with an idea instead of against.

Sentinel's shield protects Khav (8 damage reduced; Khav takes 6 total damage, Kurvilis takes 9 total damage). With no enemies in range, Sentinel attempts to put them in range by taking control of the skycoach. His time with House Lysandar and the gnomes in Zilargo appear to have taught him a few things as he swings the ship to the side and gets Aric's soarsled on the skycoach.

OOC: I moved the skycoach three squares to the right (or everything not on the skycoach three squares to the left). Since the skycoach has a maximum speed of 8 and it moves on its own turn, I will not have you move it forward on your own turn. However, you can slow it down. The skycoach can hover, which means it does not require 2 spaces of movement in order to stay aloft, you can eventually make it stop. I will allow you to slow it down (which will be taken on the skycoach's turn) by up to 2 squares per round (so, if you want, you can choose to have the skycoach move only 6 squares forward next round). Once it is moving 4 squares or fewer, you can use a single move action to keep control and move the skycoach. Basically, assume it is moving so fast that you need to watch where you are going carefully.

B is at (A-3)5 or X5 or whatever you want to call it. E is at D17.

Kurvilis sees Aric fall, and focuses on the goblins. He hits one, hoping to knock it from the sky. His mental bolt is unnoticed by the other.
