So, I'll be DMing Delve #6. Who's in, and what are you playing?

Guidelines: Create a level 6 PC. Anything in the Character Builder is fair game, and you get:

Level 7 item
Level 6 item
Level 5 item
1,000 GP to spend on further magic items
All the mundane (i.e., non-magical) gear you want (thieves' tools, climbers' kits, etc.)

Personally, I'd love to see classes and races we haven't seen yet here on Dead Goblins, but they're your Delve PC's.

Now, time for me to go read Delve #6 and see what you'll be facing...

I think I will go with a Longtooth Shifter Life Warden. Looks pretty fun!

I could go with my Shielding Cleric. Between the life warden and shielding cleric, none shall perish! Maybe I'll make a new build though. Don't know. Might also sit this one out. Although, we don't have any other delve DM's lined up, so it might be our last for a long while.

Hello everyone,

I would like to play in the next delve, I am not sure what character I want to play; I will look into it. I am open to any suggestions about what new classes are most exciting and fun.

Just keep me posted as to when we would plan on starting it please. However, I will be making a habit of checking posts regularly again to stay informed.

I think I might hop in. I won't be able to play in a delve over the summer and I already have a Delve 6 character ready except equipment. He is an Eladrin Fey Pact Warlock. Be prepared for teleporting...everywhere.

You say that now, but when the warden is pulling triple duty trying to keep nasties out of our collective faces, another sword-swinger would be nice :D I'm not picky, and I wouldn't mind putting off my first controller for a bit.

If Viktor plays the shielding cleric again, the warden won't have much to worry about.

That's true. My shielding cleric will be able to heal 14 hp to one ally as part of a debuffing at-will (astral seal) once I up her equipment. That's just the tip of the iceberg for her healing capabilities. I also chose some cool feats like defensive healing which will give +5 all defenses for a round to whomever I use healing word on.

Wow. I didn't know that a pimped out shielding cleric was that awesome at heroic. I may have to look at a pacifist cleric build sometime.

I wanted to play a controller for this delve, either a seeker, scion, or invoker. I was hoping to decide once I took a look at ph3, but if we start before hand I will just play a scion i think.

I plan to increase the difficulty of the encounters from the default (knowing you have 3 encounters is a big aid in planning resource use, so I have to counter it somehow), and to be merciless in my application of monster tactics.

Playing Zoldathra in SoW was just a warm-up. ;)

Being merciless in your use of monster tactics sounds good. That's what I've been doing in PoL so far, although with a little advice here and there about new classes, powers, etc. Keep in mind that our delve participants are not all seasoned 4E players and more likely to play like we did for our first dozen encounters in Scales of War. We've generally not been using any coordinated tactics in the delves because nobody is as invested and we don't know what each other's PC's are capable of.

Having said that, they're only delves, right, so if someone's PC is actually killed-killed (minus half total HP), then you can always re-adjust the next encounter to balance things out.

Good points about player experience in general and experience with a given party in particular. Still, no one will weep over a delve PC dying, so i might as well make it challenging. :)

So you found the Power Jewel. I'm guessing you know about the Salve of Power as well, although too expensive for this delve level.

Gossamer looks like s/he'll have a lot of fun blasting from all directions.
