So, I'm training out Burning Weapons for Scouring Weapon. Curator may be the only one in the party who can benefit from the AC debuff, but that's still helpful. And it's a 2(W) power, which is an improvement over Burning Weapons.

Repulsion Strike is nice for the attack debuff, but I really like that Shocking Feedback is a 2(W) power that I use on someone else's turn, and it has a nice benefit for my ally as well.

Okay, I'll retrain thunderwave into scorching burst then this level, leather prof will have to wait. Here's his new level 3 stat block. Gary, both level 3 encounter choices for Curator look good, but I agree with you that being able to essentially take an extra attack action in a round is great to begin with and especially good for artificers that otherwise only ever use Magic Weapon.

Although I'm having trouble with installing the last charbuilder update on my laptop, I thankfully got it to work on my desktop. However, I have noticed that the magical tomes aren't working the same way.

Alfred has a Tome of Replenishing Flame +1. It allows him to memorize two more daily spells with the fire keyword and use one of them instead of his other readied daily spell. Prior to the March charbuilder update, when equipped with this tome, it was possible to select two daily spells for the tome in the "powers" tab. Now that function seems to have disappeared.

Can someone please verify that this is a bug of the latest update by equipping the tome and seeing if you are also not able to select two daily spells in the powers tab. If so, I'll let wizards know about the bug.

Josh, there's a new article on DDI focused on the wild sorcerer:

The feats are wild sorcerer only, the powers could be taken by anyone.

Gharnash is easy. +1 STR/CHA and weapon focus (staff) for an extra damage to all his implement powers.

Int/Con for Alfred. Will retrain level 1 daily Phantom Chasm for the new Summon Dust Devil. Not sure what feat to take. There's always leather armor prof or unarmored agility. Otherwise considering arcane familiar (but not sure which to choose), toughness, enlarged spellbook, or careful summoner.

Here's the new drop down for Laz. He now has 19 Dex and Cha, Versatile Expertise (Dagger and Staff) replacing Focused Expertise (Dagger) and White Lotus Riposte (does ability mod in damage to an enemy attacking me after I hit it with an arcane at-will). I actually have a question about this: it says the enemy takes damage (of the same type as the at-will was) equal to the ability mod to the attack power's damage. I assume this simply means the Charisma mod, but Sorcerors get two ability mods to damage. Anyone know for sure?

Here's level 4 Alfred with new drop stat block. Emailed pdf and charbuilder file to Mike last night.

+1 CON and +1 INT (now 17 and 19)

retrained tome of readiness spell (switched out shock beetle swarm for Melting Pool which is a burst 2 acid attack against FORT (burst 3 with enlarged)

Chose arcane familiar as the new feat and picked the Least Air Elemental (not a optimal choice, but very very Alfred). Its active benefit is like Mage Hand, but doesn't need to be sustained. The idea is that Alfred will occasionally be surrounded by different elementals, so I'll retrain at times or something. So far 4E only has the least air elemental and least earth elemental. I kind of wish I could do something akin to what Laz does whith his shapeshifting, maybe after every extended rest a random elemental appears. I'm only just thinking of this idea now, so it all depends you like the idea Mike.

Yeah, with Nathan being sick this past weekend through last night, I've been busy taking care of him, including him staying home with my on my Monday off. Like I said, no big rush. I'm on deadline most of the day tomorrow (Thursday), so it's unlikely there'll be much until Friday or Monday.

Also, any consensus on whether I can create the Wall of Fire on top of enemies (dealing 3d6+9 damage), or if I have to create it in unoccupied squares? The description doesn't say either way.

Just about done leveling up Curator. Question on my feat... I'm considering the following three options, in this order:

1 - Versatile Expertise - +1 to hit is always good.
2 - Speed Loader - load crossbow as a free action.
3 - Potent Restorables - +2 HP to my heals. This is probably okay to wait to get until level 6, when the feat grants +3 instead (it scales, which is awesome).

Thoughts? +1 hit, give myself a minor action each round, or heal more... tough call.

You're just tired of me describing "reload" every turn. :) Of course, I'm tired of saying it. :P

That said, it is handy. I can't move, attack, heal, and reload in a single round.
