OOC: Yes, kobolds are shifty creatures and I got a lot of experience playing them in delve 1.

OOC: I know you added the censure damage, but that's only +6, not +10. your damage bonuses were +4+10, which is why I thought you maybe added +4 twice. Please let me know if I'm getting that wrong.

Edeya charges the nearest kobold dragonshield, but her feet bounce off it's armor harmlessly.

Perhaps thinking that Azad will never stop her pursuit, the dragonshield lashes out with it's short sword and penetrates the paladin's armor for 9 damage, drawing a long spout of blood. It then shifts away and moves back into the nearby foliage.

The other dragonshield, still standing amidst crackling lightning energy, shifts away from Edeya and then circles around the boulders to shield the slinger from Demuriath. It attacks the avenger, but misses.

The slinger, making angry noises and pointing at Demuriath, retreats several steps and flings a fiery looking pebble at the avenger and also misses.

"BOOM" Harking shouts with great exuberance as another bolt of lightning hurtles from the sky at the kobold

Storm Spike vs Kobold B (1d20+6+1=17, 1d8+5=8)

Corydimbiddle rustles through his pack and finds what he is looking for. He tosses a cube at the nearest kobold, which explodes next to it making it vulnerable to weapon attacks. Then, the gnome shows off his ventriloquism abilities and makes a loud noise directly behind the slinger, hoping to surprise it.

Corydimbiddle hurls a tiny cube past Demuriath's shoulder and into the kobold dragonshield. It hits with explosive force, killing the the creature before it even realized it had been attacked.

Seconds later another, similar booming noise sounds just behind the kobold slinger. It jumps in alarm, looks behind, then pats itself down to make sure it wasn't just injured like his friend (mildly distracted, -1 reflex when next attacked).

OOC: Since the target of shielding cube is dead, no +1 AC bonuses to allies adjacent to it. There are no rules governing use of Ghost Sound in battle, so I'll give you a temporary benefit for your improvisation after I made a roll for the slinger's will.

Demuriath feels the thrill of the chase as his prey again moves away from him. He quickly approaches and feels the thrill of his blade meeting soft kobold flesh.

If slinger is still alive, turn is done. If slinger is dead, Demuriath will move to J8 and OoE on A.

Azad takes a different approach, retreating some, healing some, then charging the kobold. Her momentum carries her blade too wide however.

Demuriath moves with a blur, then his fullblade comes down in one single, elegant motion. Seconds pass...without a word, the kobold slinger falls apart in two halves. Pleased, the avenger moves back to the road.

OOC: OoE is burst 10 on enemies you can see and I think the boulders prevent sight in this case. However, this battle is practically done and you would have moved elsewhere to get line of sight, so I'm allowing it.

PS: Emily, don't forget to roll twice to hit due to Divine Guidance.

Edeya throws a shuriken, miraculously correcting her aim at the last instant. The projectile makes a solid sounding <thunk> as it imbeds itself in a branch within the foliage, scant inches from the kobold's forehead.

Realizing it won't be able to escape, the kobold snarlys viciously, spittle flying into Azad's face and attacks! The paladin takes another stab wound for 6 damage. The reptilian stands it's ground defiantly, snarling words that you can't understand.

Moving into position, he charges the remaining kobold.

Move to K15
Enraged Boar form give +1 att +2 damage when charging.
Charge to K17

Hits Reflex 25 for 15 damage.

Harkin again gets in touch with his animal side and surprises Azad by charging past her. She's not as surprised as the last kobold though, who is gutted before it knows what happened.

Shortly after, you quickly search the bodies and find a total of 30 silver pieces, along with their weapons and armor. You eventually turn your attention on the single living kobold who is just waking up. It becomes quickly apparent that it doesn't speak common and wouldn't cooperate if it did. Some of you give it a quick kill while some of you turn away.

You then turn to face each other, preparing to continue on your way to Winterhaven, but still unsure what to think of each other.

OOC: The group gained 500 xp and now has a total of 2275. You need 5000 total to reach level 1. Although Marek joined later, I am not going to keep separate xp tallies. You may assume that his hermit lifestyle was plenty of experience in and of itself. If anyone wants some equipment, they had shorts swords, heavy shields, sling, leather armor, hide armor, javelins. Time to get to know each other better during your trip to Winterhaven. I posted some of the handouts in the wiki and here's a link post #90 with your quest list.
