I didn't think I met the prereq's for the bard healing multi. Focused expertise is a better idea than imp. expertise.

The bard multiclass feat that grants a daily use of Majestic Word is Bardic Dilettante from PHB2. Only requirement is 13 Cha.

You might be thinking of Bardic Ritualist from AP, which grants you Bardic Training and requires 13 Int and 13 Cha.

Jonathan, I just accidentally stumbled upon "Draconic Spellcaster" feat. It's heroic tier for dragonborn arcane characters only. Gives you a +1 to hit with any powers having the same keyword as your breath.

I looked into draconic spellcaster, but so far, I have no lightning powers. If Mike lets me change my breath to fire, it is one I would look into later on, but for now, focused expertise is markedly better.

Suggestions welcome for Alfred's move. He could do a burst 2 (with enlarges spell) of grasping shadows (1d8+2 damage and slowed) or icy terrain (1d6+2 damage and prone and making the area difficult terrain). Which do you guys think is better here and if so, centered where. I could basically target all but two of the enemies, so the question is more which two not to hit.

I would go for the guards and wererat. The wererat will close need to close to melee to be effective, so either the difficult terrain or slow will hurt his chances.

Storm Pillar Applications

1. Completely blocking narrow corridors or entrances such as doors that are only a single square wide.

2. Partially blocking wider doors and corridors and forcing opponents to take damage if they want to close. (Note that because of the restriction against moving diagonally around a corner, the opponent will have to enter at least two squares to get through, taking damage twice.)

3. Constricting larger areas so that opponents will funnel into a smaller area, thus concentrating them for area attacks by allies, and also making it easier to create a defensive line.

4. Splitting the opponents by delaying until a few of them have entered the "arena" and then placing the Storm Pillar behind them to block the rest.

5. Trapping a specific creature by readying an action for when it enters a specific square (or squares) and then placing the storm pillar directly in front of it. This will only work if the creature has walked into a bottleneck, and probably only is truly worthwhile if the creature was vulnerable to lightning damage.

6. Placing Storm Pillar directly in front of the party to keep minions from closing, or behind or beside the party to discourage flanking.

7. Forced movement on enemies to either put them into a square adjacent to Storm Pillar or move them around the pillar if they are already adjacent.

Use number 7 doesn't apply anymore with the errata, but another use is to place an enemy in a corner (or if it's already in a corner) and then put a storm pillar near them to force it to take two lightning hits if it wants to leave.

You guys might want to delay until after Curator's MW, then boogie out of the way so Gharnash can only attack one of you at a time. Bunched guys with a dominated dragon sorcerer equals large amounts of fiery damage.
