Curator 143-Theta will speak in steel blue.

"I dare say, I will also be speaking in what might be termed a 'British' accent. It's only proper, one must agree, for one so educated and sophisticated."

Still pondering weapon choice....

Wikipedia has a great page on web colors.

EDIT: Changed my color above to steel blue. I like it! And there are plenty of shades of blue to go around, I think.

Wow, that's great Gary.

I'll go with royalblue in that case.

EDIT: Actualy, I'll just stick with blue after all, otherwise I'll forget.

If we go with...

Alfred
Garnash
Curator 143-Theta

...it should be easy to tell apart.

One more set of options... I think this set is a little more distinct.

I've changed Curator 143-Theta just a bit. Instead of the fullblade, I'm going to start with the dagger as my main weapon, and Focused Expertise (Dagger) as my feat.

If I like the way it's working, I take Arcane Implement Proficiency (Light Blade) as my level 2 feat.

If I like the flexibility but want more damage, I retrain FE(Dagger) for Weapon Proficiency (Drow Long Knife), and I take Arcane Implement Proficiency (Heavy Blade) as my level 2 feat.

If I end up not using the ranged aspect of the dagger much, I retrain FE(Dagger) for Weapon Proficiency (Fullblade), and I take Arcane Implement Proficiency (Heavy Blade) as my level 2 feat.

It's the perfect plan! One level of trying out the "one item for melee, range, and implement" gimmick and then I can change paths if it isn't working out before going in too deep on feats or items.

Here's his new PDF and his new summary:

Heh. His face reminds me of Marvin from Hitchhiker's. The British accent isn't going to help that mental image...

Very cool. With yours, I have PDFs from everyone but Josh. But like I said, no rush. I'm flushing out details for the introduction and first mission.

Cool, thought I might have missed it tonight. I'll take a look at all of them tomorrow on my hopefully not busy workday. Rock on, D&D!

Gary, are you putting together your own stats/info for this campaign? Just curious so I don't repeat your work for myself.

Do you guys have a date you'd like to get started? Gary's off continent but on the internet for the next week, and Jon's gone from the end of the month til the middle of November. Thoughts?

I can start whenever. If I am gone during part of the beginning, Gary (or Emily, if she wants) can play Gharnash for that time period.

I have my PC and Josh's in Character Builder format and posted in PDF. I know Jon and Viktor both have the full CB, so they probably already have their PC's in CB format. I have not compiled a group stat sheet like I've sent out previously for Scales of War.

I'm fine with playing Gharnash as much as needed and starting whenever you're ready, Mike.

It might be this afternoon, then, depending how much work happens at work today. I have parts laid out and a first encounter mostly set. The beauty of playing by post is that I don't need to be totally finished with anything when I start it =)

Cool. Yeah, I think you may be right about that Josh.

BTW, if you all email me jpegs of your character images to vpmoser@yahoo.com, I could create custom battle tokens for us tonight. Either with a round or square frame. Would that be okay for you to use Mike, based on the one I sent you of Alfred? I think having round frame tokens for our characters looks neat and also further makes the PC's stand out from the enemies, which is nice on large maps.

Sure! That'd be cool. I'm good with Photoshop, but if you'd like to, feel free. Gary's character image is in the thread here.

Awesome.

Here's a bit more background on Curator 143-Theta, and warforged in general...

***

When Frederick the Wise became the first Guardian, he knew he needed additional servants he could trust completely. Using his great talents, he created the warforged to protect and study the items entrusted to him.

Varis was impressed, and asked Frederick to produce some warforged for use as soldiers and guards across the empire. Though never great in number, warforged earned great distinction during the many wars over the course of the centuries.

When the dragonborn attacked and ransacked the treasury at the Wisenstone school, Curator 143-Theta was knocked out early in the fighting. Waking to find missing the items he had dedicated himself to protecting, which he regarding almost as friends, he was distraught. As items began to be recovered and returned, he felt restless. It wasn't enough just to catalog what others could discover. He needed to be a part of the recovery effort himself. Though he had never left the grounds of the Wisenstone school in his many, many years of service, he asked to be a part of one of the recovery teams.

Foremost in his mind was the recovery of the Great Cog, which was the central component of the Allforge, from whence all warforged are created. Without the Great Cog, his race would be doomed to a slow extinction. No one had any idea where the dragonborn had taken it, or what they had done with it. But Curator 143-Theta had taken it upon himself to see it recovered, along with all the other missing treasures.

***

I don't expect to find the Great Cog for a long, long time. :) But it makes for a great long-term character motivation.

Here's the token I created for Alfred. I didn't use photoshop (I'm not that good with it), but instead downloaded the token manager from RPtools which I plan to use for my campaign (yes, you read right, but don't worry, it won't be for a couple more months or so).

If we use these in the game, there won't be a white square background, since Mike will be placing the round jpeg tokens directly on the battle maps. There are multiple different textures and colors for circle and square frames.
