I do not have DND insider. I don't mind what backgrounds are included, although obviously it is a BIG help for Elinar, so I am nominally pro-all backgrounds right now. The problem with the skills bonuses for the Delves is that they don't really help the Delves that much...although they may in the future, I suppose with the Skills-powers.

I had wanted to play my paladin to test drive her before playing her in Living Eberron on EN World. But the waiting period on Divine Power on Living Eberron just passed, so I can just go create her there, and I'm thinking I don't want to wait until Delve 2 is done and I've gotten the experience on Delve 3 with her to start on Living Eberron, since who knows when that'll be?

So, long story short, I think I'll try something else for Delve 3. I'll stick to defender, as I want to give warden or swordmage a try. I should have my new PC idea posted at some point this evening.

I'm curious to see a warden in play since we haven't seen one yet. On the other hand, the swordmage is different from the one Jonathan is playing in FR and we actually haven't seen much of that one either. Whichever you want. Besides, you can try the other in the next delve. ;)

The goliath warden is tougher and seems stickier, while the tiefling swordmage is more accurate (hellfire blood + virtually all fire powers = AWESOME!), better at attacking multiple enemies and seems more mobile.

Tough call. It looks like Delve 2 may finish soon, which will be good because it'll force me to make a decision. :)

Generally, a +1 weapon, a +1 armor, and +1 neck item are a good idea. Try to get a weapon that gives extra damage with your main damage type (radiant?). Other than that, I've never looked into invokers and what they can use, so I don't really know.

Hah, am I the only person playing the same character for all the delves? That's entertaining.

I'll have my character tomorrow, when I'm at work and have some time =)

Perfect. I would love to start this week, but since I will likely not be able to post this weekend, if we have to wait until Monday, that won't be the end of the world.

I'll jump back in to delve 4, and simply follow delve 3 as an innocent bystander. Hopefully by the time 3 is done my work schedule will have mellowed out a bit...

Looks good, Marek. One comment... why aren't you using a two-handed weapon? Is it because of the holy symbol? Because if so, holy symbols are the only attack item you don't need to wield. You can just wear it instead of holding it and get the benefit. Which leaves both hands free to swing a great big weapon. :)

Ok. I think that sets us. My life just got a bit more hectic, as I am moving to LA on Monday to start a new job on Tuesday, but I will try to get us started here in the next day or two.

I think moving qualifies as a legitimate reason to delay, no worries. :D

Marek, I don't recall how the censure of pursuit build works, but since you took melee training wisdom as a feat, does that mean the character gets lots of opportunity attacks or you do a lot of charging. Alternatively you could go with a fullblade feat and be two-handed like Gary is suggesting (+3 prof, 1d12, high crit).

Other than that I think the party looks cool and we've got THREE divine characters for a change. Let's hope there are lots of undead! striker (rogue), striker (monk), striker (avenger), defender (swordmage), controller (invoker), leader (cleric)

I'll bet we'll never have to go beyond round 1 or 2 with all those strikers, eh. ;)

Yeah I think some tweaks would may be in order... If I dont have to wield the holy symbol to attack then yes its big weapon time!
