OOC: Your first DC 10 athletics check was to get over the 4 foot wall the goblins were hiding behind. Now the wooden platform the remaining enemies are on is 10 feet high, with no ladder (perhaps they pulled it up after the gong), for a DC 20 athletics check.

The hexer was pushed against the room wall. There's no gap between the platform and the wall for him to fall down.

To get up the side of the platform, you use a move action for your athletics check per "Climbing" on page 182 of PHB1.

You cannot melee attack GS3 from below. Square G7 is also on the platform, which is the entire brown section at the bottom right of the room.

Realizing that his companions will have a difficult time getting up onto the platform, Gerren dismisses his spirit companion, only to resummon it next to the hexer, ordering it to attack.

Minor: Dismiss spirit companion

Convert move to minor: Summon spirit companion in H7.

Standard: Stalker's Strike on Hexer. WIS vs. FORT, 1d20+11 (7 for bonus, 1 for 24h, 1 for 1/2 INT mod for target being bloodied, 2 for CA for dazed), hit is 1d10+5 and yogi can flank until the end of my next turn. If this misses (and is within shouting distance) I will use MoaTL.

OOC: So I am just going to do my turn over in a simple fashion. I am also assuming that if i move and climb that I can't attack.

Feeling fully restored, Arjhan bellows a fierce draconian roar "For the honor!" and surges toward his opponent and attempts to climb the platform to prepare for close combat.

Zrith conjures a reddish-black ball of fire and hurls it at the goblin hexer. He then conjures up some thunder and sends waves of it on it's course straight after the ball. After doing what is necessary, Zrith concentrates and an aura seems to shimmer around him with barely visible wisps of lightning tendrils and pulses of wind. Ishara, right next to him almost feels like she maybe is being pushed away slightly.

Darkfire against goblin hexer (vs REFLEX) (1d20+10+1=17)

Storm Walk against goblin hexer (vs FORTITUDE) (1d20+8+1=29, 1d8+9=10)

OOC: Taking my turn now, since I'll be away for half the day. If Darkfire hit, then until the end of Zrith's next turn, all attacks against the hexer have combat advantage and the hexer can't benefit from invisibility or concealment. Also, the Storm Walk attack would be 31 vs FORT instead of 29, but that's a moot point since it was a critical hit. Therefore 17 damage on goblin hexer. Choosing not to use Storm's Embrace class feature.

Finally, choosing to prepare to end Storm Soul resistances (the +5 thunder/lightning resistance and pierce) for this encounter in order to gain +4 to all defenses. This action is an immediate interrupt when next hit by any attack.

Quick update: Zrith's darkfire hits, then the Stormwalk crit drops the hexer (moreso if you had remembered to roll your extra crit damage from the magic dagger ;) ). Will update map/status after Korg.

Seeing the hexer fall, Korg is still stuck in place, and not so happy not being able to give the final blow. Undaunted he launches his dagger at the next foe.
The dagger flies true, and he can see the goblin wince in pain.

Hits for 23 vs ac for 9
save (1d20=9)


Korg does not escape the stinging hex.

Zrith destroys the hexer with a brutal blast of thunder. The gloom hanging over most of the room dissipates as the hexer falls.

Korg is able to find his target with his hurled dagger, becoming the first to wound the final goblin.

Seeing the job that now needs doing, Ishara takes aim at both of the remaining goblins with divine bolts of energy.

Standard Action: Attack Goblin 3 and Goblin 4 with Divine Bolts.

Divine Bolts: (1d20+6+1=20, 1d20+6+1=26, 1d6+4=8)

Divine Bolts hits Reflex 20 on Goblin 3 and Reflex 26 on Goblin 4 for 8 lightning damage.

Sensing his general uselessness Moroth moves to D8 and waits patiently to see if someone can knock the goblin from his perch. Otherwise, he has faith in his companions to finish the job with ranged attacks that are much more useful than his own...

OOC: Adam, you could use "total defense" as your standard action and thereby gain +2 to all defenses until the start of your next turn.

Gerren moves back around the pit to get closer to his injured companion, healing Zrith. At the same time, his spirit companion stalks up to the remaining goblin, but, perhaps distracted by his friend's movement, misses the sharpshooter.

Move: Gerren to C2, Yogi to G8.

Minor: Healing Spirits on Zrith.

Standard: Stalker's Strike on Sharpshooter stalkers strike (1d20+7+1=10, 1d10+5=8) Hits 10 vs FORT for 8 damage. On a hit, spirit companion can flank until the end of my next turn. (Forgot to add the +1 for the target being bloodied, so it actually hits FORT 11.)

Korg would stamp his feet in frustration it it did not mean setting of the trap. Mobility was his greatest asset and now he is stuck here chucking his dagger.

Twirling it between his fingers he once again lets it fly, grumbling angrily at his predicament.

Zrith steps around the chamber to the platform, avoiding the trap in the center. He takes a minute to calm himself and refocus his thunder and lightning abilities. Suddenly, he disappears. "No sense in wasting time. They already know we're here." he says from the top of the platform, waiting for the others.

OOC: Using two healing surges to get to max HP. Using spatial trip to get to the platform. Lightning/Thunder resistance/piercing is active again.
