Comeback strike is very handy.

Also, any reason you're taking chainmail +1 rather than scale +1?
cost difference is pretty negligible, and not only do you get 1 more AC, you also dont get the -1 to skill checks.

The Battlerager build gives some perks for going with chain instead of scale.

If I choose chainmail over scalemail, when using my hammer I will get +2 dmg if I have any temp hp from being attacked or attacking with an invigorating power. SWEEEEEEEET :)

Does anyone have any recommendations/suggestions about my feat selection options as posted earlier? Maybe based on what the others are playing. (Gary, should I be taking leather armor or sorcerous blade channeling to avoid Khorvan's fate from encounter 2? You know, bad karma and all that. ;)

My sorceror build is basically NOT a melee striker. He should hang back and deal major damage from afar.

Viktor, I'd pick up leather armor (+2 to AC is always welcome, even if you try to avoid melee), Distant Advantage (+2 to hit anytime Korg does what he's always trying to do), and Focused Expertise (Daggers) (better hit bonuses are always, always nice).

Dear Guildmaster,

I am planning on doing great things in the world; vanquishing evil forces, upholding honor, bringing light to darkness. I have heard of your guild's reputation from an acquaintance of mine, a bard by the name of Khorvan Silverscale. You may have heard of his famous uprooting of the evil nest of the Krimson Kobolds and the White Dragon of Death, somewhere near Loudwater. I'm not quite certain that the epic song I heard from him in the tavern last night is absolutely true to fact, but it's quite a stirring tale nevertheless. In any case, Khorvan recommended I join your guild, claiming that you are as fair as you are wise in your treatment of guild members. I am a sorcerer by calling and an adventurer by heart. Harnassing the chaotic elements of thunder, lightning, and fire is most exciting and it's always fun to see things explode, immolate, and crackle! Especially an evil creature. I look forward to my new life in Loudwater, mere days from now. Perchance the Guild would be able to loan me an advance payment of, let's say, 28 gold pieces in exchange for future services rendered? I promise, you won't regret it. I eagerly anticipate your reply.

Cordially,

Gideon Donnersturm

Ishara will likely be buying a magic staff (+1) and magic armor (+1) with her gold. Do you guys have other suggestions for her?

Howdy all. I'll be joining you on Delve #2. I have not yet completed my PC, but he or she will provide meat to be used as a shield, and the awesome power of healing, matched only my the incredible cleaning power of Orange Glo

Six. Don't forget Korg, Marek's half-orc rogue!

I'll start the thread tonight for RP purposes, and once Adam's character is set, I'll start the action.

I plan on having a character ready by tomorrow, but I didn't plan on still being at work right now, so there's that...

Moroth Algernon was born with an unholy curse. A taste for blood and flesh that could not be quenched. After a tortured childhood of wicked transformations and forgotten memories of crimson, Moroth found solace in the worship of Lady Death herself, the Raven Queen. It is only in this heightened holy state that Moroth can fight off the demons of his past. Left to his own misgivings he would surly tear friends and enemies alike limb from limb with a gnash of his glinting teeth...

I'm assembling my info on you guys as I get the first fight prepped, and I noticed a couple things:

Mike - You didn't do any shopping for Ishara. If you want to buy her anything, let me know quick.

Jonathan - You get two known languages of your choice as a deva. Let me know what you choose.

It might be a little early for such things, but if Ishara can get to C5 (or D5, assuming 7 moves/dies), Angelic Echelon can hit Big Grigbad, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 13 (and 5 if I'm at D5) for 1d6+4 damage, plus another 10 or 11 for my Covenant of Wrath manifestation. Each enemy would also take 5 more damage if they attack before the end of my next turn.

Even if they're all minions, it would stop a lot of them from being able to attack us, en masse, during their turn.

Thoughts?

I think we need to try and get Korg in for some flanking. I'm not sure if any of us can get in the room without provoking an attack of opportunity, so maybe step one is taking out #16 just inside the door?

Ishara can try taking out all the goblins around the table (7,11,12,13) with whirlwind (burst area 1) if Ishara wants to head to C5 or D5. But won't Ishara then subsequently die by the goblins if her echelon misses a lot of goblins. It may actually be a better tactic for us all to use ranged attacks from our current position where only Arjhan and Moroth can by attacked by two goblins at a time (I don't think they can attack around the corner from C8 or F8).

My vote is for staying put and blasting from afar, at least long enough to make the enemy numbers more manageable.

Ranged attacks with the front taking on goblins in melee two at a time until we clear out some space works for me. Shall I go ahead and take a poke at 16?
