Hey all! I'm going to be DMing Delve #2. Please share here what your plans are. You can level up your first character to level 2, or create a new level 2 PC if you want to try something different. Share your ideas! _______________ Salazar Miller - Human Sorcerer 24 - Scales of War Azad Halim al'Zahir - Tiefling Battlemind|Paladin 7 - Points of Light Khavak'aashta - Half-Orc Thief 5 - Eberron Dwimmerlaik - Revenant Hexblade 2 - Dark Campaign

Jumping right off the DM wagon and onto the PC wagon!
I will be playing a sorcerer. Either Human, halfling, or drow. Probably human. Build will be storm sorcerer. Toyed with stormsoul genasi for a while, but it doesn't really work that well.
Since our bard will be gone, we won't have a healer in the group, but nobody really ever got hurt much anyway, eh. If the second delve is anything like the first one, then I can heartily recommend that everyone takes a weapon or implement or focused expertise to add 1 to all attack rolls.

Korg shall be returning... much different play stile than a fighter that I want to flesh out a bit more...
Oh... since the second delve will be level 2 will we get more gold, or a choice of a +1 weapon/armor/implement/whatever?

Viktor, I know you already posted the GP found, but I had another idea on treasure. I looked at the total expected treasure for a party of 5 level 1 characters in the DMG, p126. The party should find: Level 5, 4, 3, 2 items (1,000, 840, 680, and 520 GP respectively) and 720 GP worth of GP/gems/potions. That would make for 3,760 GP worth of stuff for a party of five to share, or a split of 752 GP per character. I propose that each character (including incoming new PCs like Viktor's and Emily's, if she's in for this game) have 752 GP to spend after completing Delve #1. We'll then do the same math for each delve, and each PC will have that amount of gold to outfit their PC with, whether it's a new PC or a leveled up one. _______________ Salazar Miller - Human Sorcerer 24 - Scales of War Azad Halim al'Zahir - Tiefling Battlemind|Paladin 7 - Points of Light Khavak'aashta - Half-Orc Thief 5 - Eberron Dwimmerlaik - Revenant Hexblade 2 - Dark Campaign

Sounds good and fair to me. So everyone can now go shopping at level 2 with 752 gold in their pockets!

Gal-Uk will also be coming back for another round, but with a few different powers, as I didn't like all of these. Stats will be coming in the not too distant future. Gary, if you have AV and/or AV2, can I talk to you about what 752 gold will buy?

I am out of the delves for a bit. Probably at least until mid-August. And Viktor, it was not too difficult. There was no TPK and no one even died. It was certainly challenging, though. _______________ Mal Geminous - Tiefling Warlord, Scales of War Corydimbiddle - Gnome Artificer, Points of Light « Last edit by Josh on Fri Jul 03, 2009 9:32 am. »

That was a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone for including me, and special thanks to Victor for DMing! You did great. I look forward to #2.
Have no fear, Arjhan shall return ; I will look into how I want to level up this weekend. Suggestions are always welcome .

This is one of the storm sorcerer ideas I have, wielding two +1 magic daggers (alternative builds I've made use either halfling or drow, but are similar in powers and feats). Suggestions are welcome. As feats, I was thinking of taking:
Focused expertise (dagger) (+1 to hit with all spells)
Dual implement wielder (gain off-hand weapon as bonus damage
Distant Advantage (gain combat advantage when allies are flanking an enemy)
Other feats I am considering are:
Two-weapon fighting (+1 extra damage when wielding two weapons)
Sorcerous blade channeling (can use ranged attacks in melee)
Arcane Reserves (+2 damage to all at-wills when encounter attacks used up)
Tempest magic (+1 damage with al thunder/ligthning spells)
leather armor proficiency (+2 AC)
Currently, his "to hit" bonus is 7 and his damage bonus with two magic daggers and dual implement wielding is 9. If I swap distant advantage for two-weapon fighting, his damage bonus goes up to 10, but I may prefer to have an edge with combat advantage without going melee.

- +5 thunder/lightning resistance, pierce thunder/lightning

Ok. Gal-Uk will retrain Avalanche Strike for Bloodletting, Swift Panther Rage for Rage Drake's Frenzy, and take Combat Sprint as his utility and Weapon Expertise (Axe) for his feat. And unless someone has a better suggestion (please let me know), he will purchase Screaming Hide Armor +1 and a healing potion or two depending on the makeup of the party (right now there are no leaders).

Michael Doss wrote I used most of my 100 to buy supplies, I assumed everyone else did too...
Absolutely... for you guys who played your character from level 1! However, Viktor's character is starting at level 2, and I'd mentioned he'd have 752 GP to spend. That's incorrect for him, as he'll have the 100 GP everyone starts with, PLUS the 752 GP. _______________ Salazar Miller - Human Sorcerer 24 - Scales of War Azad Halim al'Zahir - Tiefling Battlemind|Paladin 7 - Points of Light Khavak'aashta - Half-Orc Thief 5 - Eberron Dwimmerlaik - Revenant Hexblade 2 - Dark Campaign

Looks good, Jon. I might peel some points off Con and Dex to push the Int to 18, but that's not necessary by any means. It'll be interesting to see a shaman in play. And your at-wills hsould make Korg happy. _______________ Salazar Miller - Human Sorcerer 24 - Scales of War Azad Halim al'Zahir - Tiefling Battlemind|Paladin 7 - Points of Light Khavak'aashta - Half-Orc Thief 5 - Eberron Dwimmerlaik - Revenant Hexblade 2 - Dark Campaign

You know what, I think I will use the shaman. However, upon further thinking, I will change Call to the Ancestral Warrior to Twin Panthers.

Korg's level 2 stats
Korg, level 2 Half-Orc, Rogue Rogue Tactics: Brutal Scoundrel
FINAL ABILITY SCORES Str 16, Con 14, Dex 18, Int 10, Wis 9, Cha 12.
STARTING ABILITY SCORES Str 14, Con 14, Dex 16, Int 10, Wis 9, Cha 12.
AC: 18 Fort: 14 Reflex: 17 Will: 12 HP: 31 Surges: 8 Surge Value: 7
TRAINED SKILLS Stealth +10, Thievery +10, Athletics +9, Bluff +7, Intimidate +9, Acrobatics +10
UNTRAINED SKILLS Arcana +1, Diplomacy +2, Dungeoneering, Endurance +5, Heal, History +1, Insight, Nature, Perception, Religion +1, Streetwise +2
FEATS Level 1: Backstabber Level 2: Weapon Proficiency (parrying dagger)
POWERS Rogue at-will 1: Sly Flourish Rogue at-will 1: Piercing Strike Rogue encounter 1: Torturous Strike Rogue daily 1: Easy Target Rogue utility 2: Adaptable Flanker
ITEMS Adventurer's Kit, Leather Armor, Thieves' Tools, Dagger, Shuriken (5), Parrying dagger, Duelist's Dagger +1, Potion of Healing (heroic tier)
I now have new ways of getting people into comat advantage. 1. Adaptable flanker, can get combat advantage simply with someone else being adjacent. 2. Duelist Dagger +1, get CA until end of next turn as daily minor action
Toying with taking parrying dagger as my feat to get me a +1 to AC, so if I decide to keep this character longer could mesh well with 2 weapon fighting and defense.
