Gal-Uk shifts his position cunningly and presses his attack against the kobold who has dealt so much pain to Ishara. His initial attack, although skillful and mighty, isn't quite enough to kill the creature, so he launches into a furious assault immediately which kills his foe. Still feeling the anger, the half-orc swipes at the next-nearest kobold and kills it easily.

Green kobold is about to act, but decides to prudently wait when it hears the white dragon say, "That's enough! You will pay for your intrusion!" She then launches herself off the throne and into the air towards the fray. She rears back her head and spews a large cloud of freezing ice and snow at the combatants, kobold and intruders alike. Orange kobold takes 11 damage. Arjhan takes 13 damage. Sered Val dodges successfully. Gal-Uk is hit for 15 damage. Ishara, standing in the corner, feels the freezing cold envelop her completely and succumbs to the inevitable (20 damage, dying). Just before unconsciousness takes her, she thinks to have detected a difference between all the similar looking kobolds apart from the obvious fact that some die more easily than others. Before she can tell anyone her thoughts, she falls prone and lifeless.

Once the cloud of wintry cold dissipates somewhat, leaving the injured combatants both slowed and weakened (save ends both), some of the other kobolds spring into action. Green kobold moves to E2, then shifts to E1, and readies an attack. Pink kobold moves to G3, then shifts to H2, flanking Arjhan. However, with vengeance for killing it's mate, the kobold slashes at Gal-Uk for 6 damage. Light blue moves via a shift to D2, then shifts to C1, flanking Khorvan with green. It uses twin slashes of it's short sword to inflict 9 damage, 5 ongoing damage (save ends). Green barely manages to hit the dragonborn bard as well for 5 damage, with it's backhand sweeping motion merely pricking Korg for 2 damage.

Korg rather enjoys when his prey come to him. Saves him all that bother of chasing it down. Quickly shifting into a flanking position with the dragonborn, Korg...

Shifting to B1
Sly flourish vs. Light blue (1d20+8+1+2=12, 1d4+5+2d8+3=23)

trips up and nearly falls on his own dagger.

OOC: oh for fuck's sake. Flanking, and the kobolds having a -2 to def, the ONLY way I would even hope to miss is to roll a natural 1 (well maybe a 2).

Khorvan swings at the kobold he and Korg are flanking, trying to provide an opening for the half-orc. He then shouts encouragement to Ishara, his words powerful enough to draw her back from the pull of her next incarnation.

Standard action - Guiding Strike against Light Blue.

Guiding Strike vs Light Blue (1d20+8+1=15, 1d8+4=5)

Hits AC 16 (forgot to include the +1 for Khorvan being bloodied) versus Light Blue for 5 damage, and on a hit, the Kobold will take -2 to a defense of my choice (AC) until the end of my next turn.

Minor action - Majestic Word on Ishara. Ishara can spend a healing surge and regain gain an additional 4 HP. FYI, healing from negatives actually sarts at 0 HP then adds the healing.

I am now OUT OF HEALING everyone!

Korg tries to take advantage of the nearest kobold, but only manages to embarass himself. Khorvan on the other hand, is able to hit the same kobold just right, so as to penetrate it's armor and inflicts 5 damage as well as further reducing it's defenses. Then, with a majestic word of encouragement, Ishara returns from her journey to the Raven Queen. Unfortunately, the previous wound that the bard incurred takes it's own toll for 5 damage. He is, however, able to quickly staunch the bleeding for now.

Orange kobold tries to slash twice at Arjhan, but only manages to hit him once. Even so, having it's foe caught between it and another kobold allows orange to inflict more damage than usual. Arjhan looks on with a sceptical, scaly eyebrow raised as the short sword seems to hit him very slowly, with ice breaking off the blade. He only takes 2 damage. The kobold then tries to shake itself free of the ice, but doesn't seem to have the strength.

OOC: I will update the map to reflect Korg's movement next post. Khorvan's attack was effectively 18 vs AC due to the kobold's existing -2 for all defenses. Thanks for reminding me how healing surges while dying work. I actually remembered this one, but it never hurts. I rolled the save vs. 5 ongoing damage for Khorvan (17).

Slowed: your speed becomes 2
Weakened: your attacks deal half-damage

-2 all defenses until end of Gal-Uk's next turn due to Roar of Triumph
-2 AC on light blue until end of Khorvan's next turn due to guiding strike

Hint: Use your dailys and your action points. This is the last encounter, so don't hold back. Since Khorvan is out of healing, you can still use a second wind to heal by one surge and get +2 all defenses for one round.

Initiative Order:
Pink Kobold: down 16, cursed, -2 def
Light Blue Kobold: down 5, -2 def, -2 AC
Korg: 26/26 +2 temp HP
Khorvan: 9/28 bloodied

EDIT: I apologize if I misunderstood. Re-reading Ari's post, he probably meant just to attack orange so that's what I'll do. I read the word "steadies" and thought he might have been planning to ready an attack, but I will continue as normal. My dyslexic eyes probably read "readies" instead of steadies or something.

Brought back from the brink by Khorvan's majestic words, Ishara stands up, quickly assesses her situation, and blasts her nearest foes again with divine bolts of energy.

Move Action: Stand up from prone.
Standard Action: Attack Pink and Orange Kobolds with Divine Bolts.

Divine Bolts: (1d20+4+1=25, 1d20+4+1=15, 1d6+4=5)

Divine Bolts hits Reflex 25 (CRIT) on Pink Kobold for 10 Lightning damage, and Reflex 15 on Orange Kobold for 5 Lightning damage. Ishara readies Armor of Wrath in preparation of her opportunity attack from Pink (Pink will take Con (3) radiant damage and get pushed to F4). If either dies in Arjhan's attack, move that attack to Green.

Arjhan successfully hits orange kobold, but in his weakened frozen state only inflicts 7 damage, no enough to kill the reptilian. Ishara, with renewed vigor, stands up and prepares to bolts of divine light to fling at her enemies. Pink kobold, realizing the opportunity, hits the deva for 4 damage, but then cries out in pain as an aura envelops Ishara and strikes out in retaliation, flinging the kobold away. The divine bolts then strike both pink kobold and orange kobold, finally killing the latter. Ishara breathes in deeply in relief, feeling the efforts of her valorous act bolster her health.

OOC: This is almost like Magic: The Gathering. Summary: Arjhan injures but doesn't kill orange. Ishara prepares to attack pink and orange. Pink succeeds at opp attack on Ishara. Ishara's armor hits and pushes back pink. Finally, Ishara's attack is resolved, injuring pink and killing orange. Only after orange is killed, does Ishara get the +4 temp HP. Sered Val has initiative.

Ishara: 6/26 +4 temp HP

OOC: You must mean the "White Dragon". No one said anything about a dragonling. Never forget, you can't judge a creature by it's battle token, as you are seeing with all these identical looking kobolds.

Feeling a surge from the death of a kobold, he tells another, "Do not worry, if my friends don't kill you first, I will be back for you." The warlock then walks away along the wall and stares into the eyes of the dragon before speaking a single, devastating word.

Minor Action: Warlock's Curse on Green(Hit: 1d6 damage; Cursed target reduced to 0 provides Fate of the Void bonus)

Move Action: Walk to H7

Standard Action: Dreadful Word on Dragon (Cha vs. Will; Hit: 2d8+3 psychic damage, target takes -4 penalty to Will until end of my next turn)

Dreadful Word (+4 I, +1 24hr, +1 FotV, +1 Prime Shot) (1d20+7=14, 2d8+3=5)

No Action: Memory of a Thousand Lifetimes (After you make an attack roll, saving throw, skill check or ability check, you can add 1d6 to the result)

Memory of a Thousand Lifetimes (1d6=2)

OOC: Woohoo for what I expect are two wasted Encounter Powers! Anyways, Curse Green, move to H7. Dreadful Word hits 14 Will on Dragon for 5 damage and -4 to Will until the end of next turn. If I missed, use MoaTL to hit Will 16 (I really want that when I use my daily on it).

Sered Val curses one of the kobold's harassing Khorvan and then quietly glides along the wall. With a frightening word of power he injures the dragon's mind and leaves it reeling it's head around.

Gal-Uk howls in anger, and attacks the nearest Kobold. He then shakes off the cobwebs, feeling his strength and speed return.

Shift to F1, Howling Strike on Green. howling strike on green (1d20+6+2+1=27, 1d12+1d6+5=11) Hits 27 vs AC for 11 damage. (Half damage would be 5 or 6.)

Despite being slowed, Gal-Uk manages to flank a nearby kobold and kill it with a howl and a strike.

The white dragon roars in fury at having been attacked and glides over to Sered Val. With a sharp claw, it gouges the deva for 10 damage. Pink kobold moves to attack Arjhan, hoping to prevent the fighter from attacking her majesty from behing, but misses. Light blue meanwhile is having second thoughts and shifts twice nearer the way out, but still tries to give Korg a taste of his own medicine. The rogue takes 4 damage from being stabbed in the back.
