OOC: I edited the above post to remove Daggoth's attack. I feel like he should be making the choice of 3 square shift or basic attack without knowing the possible result of the attack. Also, it may not matter if the bugbear is knocked off the bridge.

Mal word's encourage Daggoth, but still don't clear the stars from his vision. The warlord's first attempt to shove the Bugbear would have failed, but the magic in his couters corrects his aim and he smacks the warrior hard. Blue looses his balance, flips over the railing and falls face down in the marsh. Daggoth now has the chance to shift three squares or try to attack Blue. Next Mal focuses the party's attention on Blue, but isn't able to connect with his glaive.

OOC: I'm going to wait to take my turn till Daggoth does his Warlordy thing. If I can make a suggestion, though, I'd appreciate it if he shifted back to H6 or so, so that I can catch Blue, Plum, and White in an area attack without hitting Daggoth.

Also, shouldn't Mal's allies all have 8 temp HP due to the Bastion of Defense effect?

Salazar hexes the other bugbear thug - "Grimbatul vas b'gab nos!" - then unexpectedly reaches out and drags the hobgoblin arcanist in between the two bugbears, causing the hob to gasp in pain.

That's nothing, however, compared to the cry of anguish that issue forth from the hobgoblin's lips as he's suddenly bathed in a ball of dark fire that issues forth from Salazar's outstretched hand. The flames even singe the two bugbear thugs. All told, the unpleasant stench of singed fur is suddenly very prominent. Finally, Salazar backs off and fades into the shadows.

Minor action - Curse Blue.

Standard action - Diabolic Grasp against White Caster.

Diabolic Grasp (24H) (1d20+8+1=21, 2d8+5=16)

Hits Fort 21 versus White for 16 damage, and on a hit, Salazar slides White to H8.

ACTION POINT! Heals 5 HP from Mal's Inspiring Presence.

Standard action - Fiery Bolt against White Caster.

Fiery Bolt vs White (Action Surge, 24H), splash damage on Plum and Blue (curse) (1d20+8+3+1=30, 3d6+6=19, 1d6+6=7, 1d6=2)

Hits Reflex 30 versus White for 19 fire damage, and on a hit, does 10 fire damage to Plum and 10 fire damage to Blue (that should have been 1d6+9 on the roll, not 1d6+6). If the 10 damage doesn't kill Plum, I'll apply the 2 curse damage to him. If the 10 kills Plum, I'll apply the 2 damage to Blue. If Plum dies, I'll spread my curse to White, since I already have temp HP.

Move action - Move to I2, granting Salazar concealment (-2 to all enemy attacks) due to Shadow Walk).

After Daggoth scoots out of the way, Salazar sends a flury of spells at the goblins. His diabolic grasp nearly strangles the caster and moves him next to the bugbear. Then his burst of fire fries the caster and Plum.

At the moment Daggoth cannot even see straight. Rather than struggling to his feet, he tries to catch his breath after the beating he took.

Taking Second wind as my one allowed action.
Cloak of walking wounded lets me take us two surges with second wind when bloodied. Recover 36 HP, so back to full


Save Vs. Dazed (1d20=19)

The few second respite was more than enough to clear the fog from his aching head, and Daggoth would soon be returning to the fight.

"That's it, next thing that tries to use my head for a drum will be beaten so badly their own mother will not recognize them!"

Hedoni stands up and again moves the cloud to follow two of the archers. He then shoots two icy rays, one at the bugbear, and one at the other archer.

Move Action (Action Point): Move Stinking Cloud to L17 to hit Red Archer and Orange Archer.
Standard Action: Cast Icy Rays at Blue Bugbear and Yellow Archer.

Icy Rays: 1d20+6+1=23, 1d20+6+1=11, 1d10+5=10

Stinking Cloud hits Fortitude 26 on Red Archer and Fortitude 8 on Orange Archer for 7 poison damage. Line of sight is blocked. Any creatures starting their turn in the cloud take another hit (1d10+4). (OOC: Except for the damage roll on Orange, that roll is identical to my last Stinking Cloud roll. Weird)

Daggoth stays on the floor and steadies himself with a deep breath. He is back to full health, and then some.

Hedoni stands up and redirects the stinking cloud to hover over the two archers. Red takes 7 damage, but Orange resists. Then a spray of ice hits the bugbear for 10 damage, but the hobgoblin is fast enough to dodge the icy spell.

Red and orange both take 5 poison damage from the filthy air around them. They then move out from under cloud and seem poised to flee. All three archers shot at Mal, but only one arrow hits for 14 damage. The arrow is embedded in the tiefling's upper arm and a stream of blood is coming out of the wound.

The bugbear weighs his options and decides he'll have a go at the bleeding warlord. The warrior misses, and then thinks better of sticking around to fight. He shifts away and vaults over the railing.

Mal mutters to himself, "This is almost over, they cannot stop you." Feeling better, he swings at the fleeing bugbear, slicing its hide. The warlord then moves forward to engage the archers.

Minor Action: Improved Inspiring Word (One ally gets Healing Surge +1d6+3 HP)

Healer's Improved Inspiring Word (11+1d6+3+1=19)

Standard Action: Warlord's Strike (Str vs. AC; Hit: 2W+3 dam, until end of my next turn, all allies gain +4 to damage against target)

Warlord's Strike (+8 W, +1 24hr, +1 vs. bloodied) (1d20+10=20, 4d4+4=15)

Move Action: If bugbear is dead, Walk to K11, otherwise, shift to I7

OOC: Heal Mal for 19, bringing him to 31 HP. Then use WS on bugbear, hitting AC 20 for 15 damage and providing everyone +4 to damage against him until end of my next turn. If the bugbear is dead, Mal closes the distance with the archers, otherwise, he just moves a little forward.

Salazar moves back closer to the fray, then follows his cousin's lead in trying to put down the nearest bugbear.

Move action - Move to I5, granting Salazar concealment (-2 to all enemy attacks) due to Shadow Walk).

Standard action - Eldritch Blast against Blue.

Eldritch Blast (24H, Warlord Strike, Curse) (1d20+8+1=18, 1d10+5+4=13, 1d6=2)

Hits Reflex 18 versus Blue for 13 damage and 2 curse damage (15 total damage). If Blue dies, I'll spread my curse to Yellow.

OOC: I am going to suggest that when Hedoni's turn comes around, he move the cloud onto Red, blocking off the main escape (and it might kill Red as I think they have 46 or fewer total HP). If the other goblins want to escape, they can go slowly through the swamp or hurt themselves by running through the cloud).

Hedoni debates for a moment, then moves the cloud so it encompasses both the close archers. He then deeply concentrates and shoots a glowing green burst of acid at the furthest archer, hitting him full in the head and killing him instantly.

Minor Action: Sustain Stinking Cloud.
Move Action: Move Stinking Cloud to M15 to hit Yellow Archer and Orange Archer.
Standard Action: Cast Acid Arrow at Red Archer.

Stinking Cloud: 1d20+6+1=27, 1d20+6+1=17, 1d10+4=13

Daggoth moves forwards and chills the closest archer. The cold seriously injures the hogoblin and he looks around for a way to escape.

Hedoni moves his stinking cloud over Yellow and Orange, defeating the later. Yellow is now very close to death. Red is hit squarely by the wizard's spell and seems melt into a puddle of acidic goo.

Before Yellow can even consider his options he takes his last breath of the putrid air and suffocates.

The party gains 1,000 experience.

The dwarf inches carefully away from the dead goblins and says "Thank you so much for helping me."

Dusting himself off and taking a moment to recover, Hedoni says "We have not met anyone by that name, but we are investigating the supposed death of a dwarf, and think another dwarf may have been killed in his place. Tell me, were you of the Strongsinger guild?"

Hedoni uses one surge to get to 39/40 HP.
