I'm considering Chain Lightning (PHB 167), but have a question: Does the first attack have to hit for the secondary and tertiary attacks to hit? Kind of a deal breaker if so. Otherwise, I also like Deceptive Shadows (AP 112). I'll be giving up Thunderous Transformation.

I'm good with just about any gear, and have a preference for teleportation powers of course.

This is how it's written on the Compendium after a 2012 update:

Wizard Attack 23Chain Lightning
From your fingertips springs a tremendous stroke of blinding purple-white lightning that leaps from one enemy to another.
Encounter Arcane, Evocation, Implement, Lightning
Standard Action Ranged 20
Primary Target: One creature
Primary Attack: Intelligence vs. Reflex
Hit: 4d6 + Intelligence modifier lightning damage.
Miss: Half damage.
Effect: Make the secondary attack.
Secondary Target: One or two creatures within 5 squares of the primary target
Attack: Intelligence vs. Reflex
Hit: 2d6 + Intelligence modifier lightning damage.
Miss: Half damage.
Effect: Make the tertiary attack.
Tertiary Target: Each enemy within 20 squares of you that was not a primary or a secondary target
Attack: Intelligence vs. Reflex
Hit: 1d6 + Intelligence modifier lightning damage.
Miss: Half damage.

Effects happen no hit or miss, so you absolutely get three attacks, even if the first one or two miss.

Nice! I don't think the "half damage" was in the original. Makes it even stronger. I'll go with that. I've never seen an attack that hits "each enemy within 20 squares".

Thanks for sending me the powers, Gary!

The only decent ones from that list are:

Stunning Display: 1W damage, target is stunned UENT and an ally w/in 5 can use 2nd wind as free action.

Hold That Thought: Immediate Interrupt, when an enemy is missed by an ally's attack; 2W damage and the ally can reroll the attack roll.

Stunning Display is great for the ability to stun an enemy (I almost think that is better than granting an ally a Standard Action), damage is weak and 2nd wind is mostly whatever to us, but the stun is the big thing. Hold That Thought is good to give a reroll for an important attack, BUT I have to be within 2 of the target to use it. Out of the others I showed, Shutdown Smite (good damage and free of recharges and APs for a turn) is a good way to start a battle vs. a Solo; and Sudden Assault is great because of the standard action it grants.

I think my choice is Stunning Display, unless someone has a particular idea of why a single person's standard action is better (which I am completely open to). As far as gear, I don't really have any idea what is out there anymore. I am always open to upgrading my glaive, armor, or brooch. Also, if there is a better Foe Stone, I would be interested in that.

Chain Lightning looks ridiculous. That will destroy so many minions...

Considering Stunning Display vs Sudden Assault, the definite top two:

Stunning Display - 1W, target stunned, ally within 5 gets free 2nd wind (normally a standard for the non-dwarf/mul PCs)

Sudden Assault - 1W, ally within 5 gets free standard.

SA is more flexible in how it helps an ally, SD is betting in impairing the enemy. Overall, SD is probably better.

I'll update the Murrak, Hedoni, and Mal (assuming Stunning Display) this weekend, and will update gear along the lines you guys outlined.

Here's Hedoni's Level 23 sheet. For his encounter power, he took Chain Lighting. For his loot, I upgraded his Bracers of Mental Might to Executioner's Bracers (Epic version, extra 3d6 damage on a crit) and his Siberys Shard of the Mage from Heroic to Epic tier (goes from +1 damage to +5, and note that the PDF annoyingly doesn't calculate this, you need to remember it).

    • -Flame Bracers (Heroic) - Power (Daily): Minor Action. The next time you hit with an attack, the target takes 1d6 extra fire damage.
    • -Elemental Prism - Power (Encounter): Free Action. Use this power when you make an attack that deals acid, cold, lightning, poison, or thunder damage. Change all your attack's damage to a different type of your choice among those above. You gain resist 15 to your attack's original damage type until the end of your next turn.
    • -Boots of Quickness (Paragon) - Gain a +2 bonus to Reflex defense.
    • -Fireheart Tattoo (Paragon) - When you spend an action point to take an extra action, you gain 10 temporary hit points.
    • -Ring of Borrowed Spells (Paragon) (Daily) - Standard action. The ring contains two arcane encounter attack powers of level 17 or lower that the wearer can employ using the ring's power. The powers contained in the ring are determined when it is created and cannot be changed (Greater Void Burst and Resounding War Cry). Milestone: If you've reached at least one milestone today, you gain a +2 bonus to the attack rolls of the stored power you use.
    • -Ring of Tenacious Will (Property) - Use Charisma instead of Constitution to determine the number of healing surges you possess.
    • -Ring of Tenacious Will (Daily) - No action. Effect: Use this power when you would be reduced to 0 hi points of fewer. You are reduced to 1 hit point instead. If you've reached at least one milestone today, you also gain a number of hit points equal to your level.
    • -Potion of Healing (Heroic) x2

Your recommendations welcome for Hedoni's Level 24 feat. I'm not seeing anything particularly impressive out there. Hedoni would be happy with anything that granted more resistances, or helps with saving throws, or does awesome things. Thanks!

Gary, for Ravenblade please upgrade the following:

+1 Strength
+1 Constitution

Replace the Radiant Hunter feat with the Hammer Rhythm feat.

Add the Slashing Storm feat.

Replace Backlash Tattoo with paragon level Ironheart Tattoo (assuming I have the funds, which I probably do since I've got jotted down 43k gold back in 2013). If not, heroic tier is fine.

For reference to all, below are what the new feats do. Emily, I'm sorry that one of them (Slashing Storm) will mean a little more tracking for you, but I'll put it clearly visible in my statblock as a reminder when applicable.

Hammer Rhythm
Benefit: If you miss with a melee attack with a hammer or a mace and you wouldn’t otherwise still deal damage on the miss, you deal damage to your original target equal to your Constitution modifier (6 damage). This damage receives no modifiers or other benefits you normally gain to weapon damage.

Slashing Storm
Benefit: Any enemy that starts its turn adjacent to you takes damage equal to your Wisdom modifier (5 damage) if you hit a creature during your last turn with a melee attack.

Here's Hedoni's Level 24 sheet. For his feat, he I took Divine Health for poison resist and disease immunity (the PDF feat info is woefully non-descriptive). For his stat boost I bumped Int and Wis (the Wis gives him an increase to an even number, which increases his bonuses, included Will defense).

Divine Health
Epic Tier
Prerequisite - 21st level, any divine class.
Benefit - You gain resistance to poison equal to one-half your level plus your Wisdom modifier. You can't become infected by any disease of level 30 or lower.
