The two shards dissolve, but Hedoni suffers a strange sensation. Instead of teleporting smoothly, he is yanked through space and finds himself where the librarian was just standing. His own spell buffets him for 23 damage.

Ravenblade strikes hard and fast for 82 damage. The dwarf carefully aims for the vulnerable spot behind the librarian's ear and knocks the enemy unconscious. Salazar disintegrates the two spell shards. The seal before you splits down the center with a thunderous crack.

Hedoni looks around the room. This well-furnished office is used by the scholar appointed by Ioun to oversee the running of the library. In addition to such duties, the headmaster also uses to the office to conduct private research and entertain guests who have been granted access to the library by the goddess. Some of the books bring back fond memories of verbal sparing matches Hedoni has had in similar arcane libraries in years past. In the head librarian's desk, Hedoni finds six clear diamonds that have been charmed to glow with inner light (15,000 gp each). The wizard also finds several magical scrolls, including a ritual scroll of Planar Portal and Planar Shift.

Before you have a chance to catch your breath or ask the librarian questions, two huge silver dragons and some smaller fighters barge into the research room. One calls out, "They're going for the seal. Stop them!"

Ravenblade takes the brunt of the attack. He is engulfed in blinding dragon breath, a potent mix of both hot and cold so intense that it burns even the stalwart dwarf.(35-15 fire damage; 32-15 cold damage; stunned ENT dragon; blinded SE)

The seal is the physical manifestation of a magical barrier, representing Ioun's protection against forces that seek the Dawn Arrow. The large circular seal hangs on the wall between the two statues. Hedoni can see that the seal now has a 5 foot crack right down the middle.

Realizing he's low on options, Hedoni performs a spell he's never tried before.

Move Action: Teleport to G5.
Standard Action: Cloudkill at G22 (Burst 5) hitting Silver dragon A, Silver dragon B, Fighter Brown, Fighter Red, Fighter Blue, and Fighter Purple.

Cloudkill - first four attacks:
1D20+27+1 = [5]+27+1 = 33
1D20+27+1 = [4]+27+1 = 32
1D20+27+1 = [4]+27+1 = 32
1D20+27+1 = [16]+27+1 = 44


Cloudkill - 5th and 6th attacks and damage:
1D20+27+1 = [19]+27+1 = 47
1D20+27+1 = [5]+27+1 = 33
1D10+20 = [3]+20 = 23


Fall and Accurate Staff of Ruin +4 Crit damage:

Cloudkill hits Fort 33 on Silver dragon A, Fort 32 on Silver dragon B, Fort 32 on Fighter Brown, Fort 44 on Fighter Red, Fort 47 (CRIT) on Fighter Blue, and Fort 33 on Fighter Purple for 28 poison damage (including +5 for shard extra damage, not in roll).

The burst creates a zone that lasts until the end of Hedoni's next turn. the zone is heavily obscured. Any creature that enters the zone or starts its turn there takes 1d10+20 poison damage. A creature can take this damage only once per turn.

OOC: Hedoni has +2 to AC and Reflex UENT for using a teleportation power. Fighter Blue takes an additional 47 damage for crit, plus 3d6 for my bracers that I just noticed (I'll let you roll that). Because creatures only take damage once per turn, I'll let you decide if they take it now, or when their turns start.

Therefore, they take damage NOW on Hedoni's turn AND again on THEIR turn. And if they walk out of the cloud and we push/slide/teleport them back in on someone else's turn, they take it again.

OOC: Yay for damage! That's always seemed a bit excessive to me, but I'll allow it. It is a Daily, after all.
