Mal's aim is off at first which gives the librarian a chance to bring up his staff to block the second blow.

Two new shards appear. One sends a fire ball at Mal, but he ignores it. Salazar, Ravenblade and Mal are shaken by a burst of thunder. Only Salazar is zapped with lightening.

"Squuuueeek! Chitter clik eek!" says Ravenvlade as he skitters to safety and strikes an odd meditative pose one never would have thought a beetle could do.

Move: Invigorating stride to shift 5 spaces under the doors and out the room. This also allows him to use his second wind and regain 47 hit points. Steelheart tattoo grants him resist all 2 against any next damage he takes.

The group seems in bad form, either that or Ioun is making her displeasure manifest.

Two new spell shards appear and the chamber is filled with heat, light and sound. You are able to ignore the spurts of fire, but Hedoni is struck by both thunder and lightening for 20 damage.
