Ravenblade's throw goes wide and he fails to take down the cultist controlling Heodni.

Ravix slashes through the enemies side leaving a bloody wound.

The last cultist moves across the room. He holds one hand up high, palm open, then makes a fist in front of his face. Hedoni's brain is buffeted by psychic energy for 14 damage and his nose begins to bleed. Sir Murrak and Valor are untroubled by the pyschic energy.

Charge Red Cultist w/ Valiant Strike and Holy Smite: 1D20+27+1+1 = [4]+27+1+1 = 33 2D10+18+13+1D6+1D10+2+2 = [3, 6]+18+13+[4]+[10]+2+2 = 58

Hits AC 33 for 58 damage (13 of it radiant) on Red Cultist, and on a hit if Red Cultist is dazed ENT Murrak. On a miss, still 13 radiant damage from Holy Smite. Gain 3 temp HP from Invigorating Charge Epic Destiny feature. All allies gain Combat Advantage against Red Cultist due to Murrak's Impetuous Charge feat. I think I got all the bonus charge damage correct...

Sir Murrak angels around the large statue, then rides Valor into the Vecna cultist.OOC: I put Sir Murrak adjacent to the red cultist.

A cloud of tiny biting creatures appears behind Ravix. Ravix takes 19 damage, Sir Murrak takes 23 and Valor takes 20. Some of the bites are quite vicious. Blood runs down the half orc and the steed. Scowling at the fleeing foe, knowing that he can't catch up with her, Ravenblade shouts after the enemy. "So! Cambion is synonymous with coward then! Good to know!" He then hooks his craghammers on his belt and marches over to the unconscious cultist and proceeds to tie them up. While doing so, he calls over his shoulder at Mal, "Commander, I believe you would prefer to do the questioning instead of me. Even without any lava pits around, eh."

The stone statues loom silently as you secure the unconscious cultist. The brazier near the center statue continues to cast everything in a reddish light. Two passages exit the room at the northeast corner.

The cultist scrutinizes the stone floor as pink saliva dribbles from his mouth, "We are the devoted servants of Vecna, the Whispered One, the Lord of the Rotted Tower, the Undying King, Master of Secrets ...." He glances up and then continues pathetically, "We're holding a bunch of hostages. Master Drawlight says that true power comes from holding dark secrets, and we've got them right were we want them." He coughs violently, spitting up blood on to his tunic, "It's just that you look an awful lot like Master Drawlight is all, it must be a Tiefling thing." He shrugs, still only making eye contact with his shoes.

The cultist is racked with coughing for an agonizing minute, more blood dribbling down his chin. "The secrets are in the people, don't you see. Those poor bastards will dance to Vecna's tune now. They'll spill their guts to us - power and secrets." He continues with a bit more defiance "Master Drawlight'll be in the lower caverns with the dragon bitch. She's gonna give out soon, I can tell you." He smiles inwardly, possibly imagining the torture scene in his mind, "Oh, that creature's put up a good fight. She's took more pain than you might expect, but she'll come round to our side. Master Drawlight is very good and turning all manner of folk. He's quite skilled."

Mal walks over and checks on Murrak and Salazar. Without turning around, Mal says, "Ravenblade, take care of that problem, please." Pausing to let the dwarf finish that task, Mal looks at Salazar and Hedoni, "That may be your headmaster. We need to rescue her as fast as we can."

With a solemn nod at Mal's back, Ravenblade turns back to the cultist in disgust. Without a word, he swings his craghammer at the side of the cultist's head, ending his suffering.

"Yeah, Mal might be right about that. It'll be good fighting FOR a dragon instead of against one for a chance. I just hope this wretch was right about tiefling racial similarities being all there is to it." Looking at Mal, "Otherwise you might be getting that family reunion you never wanted."

You walk to the lower caverns, the way the cultist indicated. You come to a break in the tunnel. One branch leads to a quiet, well-constructed corridor with lit torches and clean air. Foul, acrid air drifts from the other way which slopes down to a larger, rougher tunnel. Sounds of moving water, punctuated by loud, strangled roars, come from below.

OOC: Which way? Also, Valor still isn't looking too good. Does Murrak heal him?

Hedoni's cat communicates that down the larger, rougher tunnel there is an enormous cavern with an underground river. Many unsavory humanoids are wrangling a very unhappy, unhealthy looking dragon. The cat recommends going some where else, preferably somewhere warm and dry.
