Korrin swings his craghammer hoping to knock out the orc before running to join the others.

Standard: Word of Diminishment orc, non-lethal (1d20+8+2=19, 1d10.minroll(3)+7=14) Hits AC 19 for 14 non-lethal damage, and on a hit, orc takes -4 penalty to damage rolls UENT.

Aluric's blade only grazes the eladrin, but it does not her back a bit (miss, push to AI36 is fine).

Takeo foot hits the other eladrin and causes her to start bleeding, but she yet stands.

Seeing the orc fall, the last two eladrins throw down their weapons and raise their hands. "We surrender!" they each call out.

OOC: Initiative on Variel on the off chance you want to drop them unconscious (Gray can be ignored, just didn't want to do a map update when the fight is most likely over). Otherwise, it's captive time.

OOC: Oh, yeah. Can't forget the really neat part... XP!

The party receives 4,600 XP (2,300 XP per standard rules, and I'm now doubling XP so we can move along faster), for 767 XP per character. This puts the party at 22,520 XP for the six PC's, and 3,753 XP per PC. Fourth level is at 3,750 XP. You've leveled up! Fifth level is at 5,500 XP.

Please send me your updated PC's when completed. Feel free to discuss potential plans here.

Also, make sure you sort out healing.

OOC: Are you granting all PC's automatic weapon expertise at this level? Would it be a general +1 to all attacks regardless of weapon/implement or would we have to choose an expertise feat?

Takeo helps Aluric and Variel escort the three archers back to the wagon. Once they are secured and searched for valuables with the captured orc he dashes around from body to body pilfering each, then returns with the loot to the wagon.

Magda answers Aluric, "The only way to make a man trustworthy is to trust him. Besides we have used this "vow" method in the past and it has reformed many bandits in this group; Dav, Happs and Erich for example. It seems these ruffians only need an opportunity to free themselves and lay down their life of dishonesty."

OOC: Magda is all about forgiveness and being the white knight. However, it is good to have someone play the bad cop too.

If we mean to tame these lands, many more criminals will need to choose between death or an oath of submission, and surely most will choose the oath. But as time goes by, how are we to recognize those who have made the oath, and then forsworn themselves? Erich's face will not linger in my mind forever. I propose branding. Those who choose to make the vow must wear our mark forever, and any who wears the mark and is forsworn..." He trails off, his meaning clear.

Takeo mumbles something just loud enough for the rest to hear, while he continues looking for valuables. "The chicken follows the trail of tastiest food, but the choice of food is up to the one who wants the chicken to follow. I bet none of them have had food as good as Magda's, probably couldn't afford it anyway."
