His greed has been to your benefit, Dawn. Since he was able to keep quiet about the location of this device, you have been relatively free, even if you did not know it. It would probably be best if we made sure they can not use the Wayfinder again...maybe even give it to you? Do you happen to know where the Stone-Skinned Queen lives?"

The dragon answers politely, " I know not where the Stone-Skinned Queen resides. They say her palace is made of purple crystal, ornately decorated with wonderous objects, and carpeted in vibrantly colored mushrooms.

Trying to be of help, the dragon volunteers, "There is a camp of eladrin to the south, perhaps a day's walk by your feet. They are the people of the Frostwhite Forest and they are no friends to the formorians.

"However earlier this evening, I spotted a group of the Queen's slavers coming out of their portal. They have been more active as of late, passing through the portal every month or so, bringing more humans and dwarves. I was glad to see they were gathering more slaves for the Queen and not tracking me."

Wondering when Daggoth became such a diplomatic orator, Ravenblade instead readies himself for the worst. Seeing Hedoni standing alone....next to a dragon....he shakes his head at the folly. "Why is it always me that has to watch his back. He should get a mirror or something and watch his own back for a change." he grumbles before entering Hedoni's magical gate.

Once up there, his breath catches at seeing the dragon up close. "Hmmmm...okay then, dragon. Looks like you're not up to your usual physical prowess and strength. I can see you've been neglecting your diet and are malnourished. Seems that anklet also scoured your scales and flesh over the years. I wouldn't be surprised if you've got a limp. Well, we've already done a lot for you with Hedoni freeing you. I'm not used to treating dragon wounds, but I'd be willing to give it a shot if you you were to repay us kindly. Hedoni, why don't you step back so I can come and take a closer look?" he says very awkwardly, placing emphasis on his last words hoping that Hedoni gets it.

Ravenblade moves through Hedoni's arcane gate and finds himself 15 feet up in the air above the top of the cliff. As he lands on the ground, he rolls and takes almost no damage. fall (1d10=1) From his position on the floor, the dwarf can see that the dragon has suffered from years of depression - circles under its eyes from trouble sleeping, patches of mud and grime on its scales from poor grooming, etc. However, the creature appears to have excellent muscle tone and, to illustrate it's great strength, the dragon beats its wings in the air twice sending strong currents of air over Hedoni and Ravenblade. The dragon looks down on the dwarf, "That is a very fetching circlet. It must be good quailty silver to glint so beautifully in the faint starlight."

Ravenblade wiggles his toes to loosen them after the impact of having landed on his feet. Oblivious to the potential motive behind the dragon's question about his resplendent circlet he says, "Hmmm....no, no, it's not silver. I reckon it's a compound of gold and mithral."

Acrobatics roll to reduce falling damage by half the roll's outcome. If falling damage is reduced to zero then Ravenblade lands on his feet and not prone. (1d20+11+1=25)

OOC: -12 falling damage from acrobatics roll, therefore no damage and still standing. Also, I had put HQ on the dragon a couple turns ago.

As he looks at the dragon, Ravenblade seemingly notices for the first time that it really is very dark this night. "Hedoni, would you mind doing that light trick of yours. I'm, uhm, having trouble seeing the dragon's ankle wound without a light source."

OOC: Mike, please conjure mage light on your turn to negate the -5 attack if it comes to battle. Maybe Salazar can light a torch or lantern since a staff implement doesn't need to be wielded in two hands. Or anyone else can hook a lantern to their belt or something, although I don't recall any of us specifically buying lanterns ever.

OOC: Back at level 1 when we all bought standard Adventurer's Kits, those each came with two sunrods. Sunrods emit bright light for 20 squares, and I am sure we still have a bunch of those floating around.

"Come now, new friend, surely you would not endanger an alliance with a band of seasoned warriors, just for a shiny bauble? No, you are much to clever for that."

Daggoth's tone makes it clear he would not tolerate treachery as repayment for their kindness.

The dragon doesn't really seem to hear Daggoth and stares hungrily at Ravenblade's circlet. It shakes its head to dispel the long suppressed avarice, and says "I cannot stay with you any longer, I fear I would not repay your kindness very well. Fair you well." It leaps off the cliff and wings away north into the night.

The group gains 3200 experience.

OOC:So where to now?
1) South to the Frostwhite Forest eldarin camp
2) To the cyclops slavers
3) Back the way you came and return to Witchcross.

"Odd creatures..." Hedoni says to himself, as he watches the dragon fly off. "I'm putting everything shiny that I don't need into my bag of holding - we don't need to tempt anything of a dragon nature anymore than we already have."

Considering the group's options, Heodni adds, "I don't care where we go, really, though the quicker leave the Feywild, the better..."

It takes you most of the next day and some of the night to make your way to the eladrin settlement. It is a small village nestled in the trees.

As you enter the settlement, a boy scampers off to the largest house. A moment later, a group of eldarin, lead by a fair, tall woman approaches you. She looks you over and her gaze fixes on Hedoni. She shakes her head as in disbelief, "Well, well, well. Hedoni Mindartis. I can't say I expected to be graced with your illustrious presence anytime soon. So what brings you back to the Frostwhite Forest?"

It doesn't take much insight to realize the this woman and Hedoni know each other, or at least they used to know each other. Ravenblade however, gets the sense that their relationship was more of a friendly rivalry.

I'm sure Inzira could vouch for me there. I'm surprised it's not something she could do for herself - she always said there wasn't anything arcane she couldn't master."

Hedoni gives Inzira a knowing wink. "So what's the problem?"
