Saphiro's conjured hammer reappears and strikes true. The shockwaves take both nearby ogres from their feet, one permanently. While Grim revels in his new power (pact boon activated), Saphiro backs even further behind his companions. Realizing that she's now the front line of those huddled by the entrance, Etherra backs towards the door and drops some more mystical cover between herself and the monsters. Then, she takes a deep breath and tries to regroup.

OOC: Sorry. No excuses. I suck. I'm going to start working on using my netbook for preparing posts during my commute. That should help.

Moving with purpose, Kelleth focuses his attention on the nearest ogre. Moving next to Hulk, he cuts the ogre badly, and gives his ally an opening for a brutal follow up attack. (Ogre is bloodied.)

With a barked order, the unengaged ogre directs the other combatants into some form of cohesive action. The badly bleeding ogre prepares to rise before Hulk while the orc looks towards the casters clustered in the doorway. Then, with a burst of speed shocking for its bulk, the (green) ogre launches itself across the battlefield. Slowed somewhat by Etherra's Mystical Debris, it manages to get behind Kelleth and deliver a nasty two swing blow. One attack the Githzerai nimbly avoids, but the backswing connects for 12 damage.

With a determined look in its eye, the remaining orc pulls forth its great axe and launches itself towards the door. Moving past the warlock, the orc finishes squarely in the midst of its enemies and hacks at the psionic shardmind. Luckily for Saphiro, his enhanced agility allows him to cause the blow to miss him completely.
Suddenly, everyone in the room sees yet another form begin to take hold. As the swirling mist solidifies, you see the face of a highly confused orc looking at the bodies of his fallen comrades. With a scream and wave of his club, the (green) ogre directs the orc to aid the fight near the door.
OOC: Jon, feel free to take an OA against yellow if you desire. Too bad you weren't back against the door or your aura would have been triggered ;)

As the orc charges by, Grim pokes it. OA (1d20+2+1=21, 1d4+1=2) OA hits AC 21 for 2 damage.

Grim then breaks up into small shards, confusing the orc as the warlock reappears a few feet away and blasts at it with eldritch energy.

Move: Shard swarm, causing yellow to grant CA to Grim UENT and Grim teleports to K8, granting Grim concealment UENT due to shadow walk.
Standard: Eldritch Blast vs yellow 1d20+12+2+1=24, 1d10+7+1d6=19 Hits REF 24 for 19 damage
Minor: If that bloodied yellow, taking the point to the aura and replace curse on yellow. If that did not bloody yellow (or killed yellow), curse on pink.

After poking the orc, Grim uses his awesome mental powers to teleport a short distance. Considering the situation, he sends a blast of power into the wounded orc, causing it to bleed profusely. Satisfied with his handiwork, Grim feels his dark powers course through himself.

OOC: I'll let Saphiro and Etherra back out the door with appropriate loss of line of sight/effect to the main room on their respective turns.

Hulk brings his maul down hard upon the downed ogre. Shaken badly, it rises to its feet and tries to return the favor. Badly hurt, its concussed brain badly judges Hulk's position, and the attack goes far wide.

Saphiro, a little curious about why this orc creature risked coming so close, looks sideways at the female wizard who is wearing the same dim-gray clothing as Saphiro. "It seems you and I are practical in our choice of attire." he tells Etherra while simultaneously raising his orb. Looking back at the orc raider, he thinks a single thought and a force net envelops the creature, squeezing it....squeezing it....stifling it's life force. When it is done, Saphiro cautiously shifts out the corridor a little.

Standard: 1d20+11+1=29, 1d8+9=16 Kinetic Trawl vs yellow orc raider, +1 24h
Move: shift down one space, granting +1 AC/REFLEX UENT

Etherra can only nod at seeing Saphiro wearing the same magical vestments as her. Seeing Saphiro mentally crush the orc, Etherra has other plans. Plans which include moving this smelly orc out of our faces...She raises her staff high, and bangs it hard onto the ground. A shockwave rises from the ground....rippling up and outwards. It pops hard against the orc, wracking his head & bones, while he rides the ground like a wave, and ends up a good distance away next to our friendly neighborhood Avenger.

"Delivery. Returned goods." says Etherra to Kelleth.

[STANDARD] :
Thunderwave
You create a whip-crack of sonic power that lashes up from the ground.
At-Will - Close blast 3
Target: Each creature in blast
Attack: Intelligence vs. Fortitude
Hit: 1d6 + Intelligence modifier thunder damage, and you push the target a number of squares equal to your Wisdom modifier (2).

Thunderwave vs. yellow orc: to-hit/damage (1d20+11=19, 1d6+8=9) ***+10 normal / +1 24hr

Hits Fort:19 for 9 damage and pushes the lonely orc into a better neigborhood next to the Avenger @ J-9. ***Shadowdancer armor prevents the orc from taking an OA vs. Etherra.

Etherra creates more mystical debris, utilizing the area, and makes them look like large piles of jagged & broken bones.

[MINOR x2] Mystical Debris @ K-10 & L-10. ***This uses 2 minor actions and thus ends Etherra's turn.

Saphiro squeezes hard, and the orc drops lifelessly to the floor. Then, before Etherra can act, yet another human sized form begins to materialize, this time near the center of the room.

OOC: 9/10 your post would have been fine, but we've clearly got to make Etherra replan her turn. Jon, curse expansion, or aura boost?

Would it be ok to use the same roll against the lime-green orc? I would also put the green ogre in the blast 3 by moving near Kelleth.

[MOVE] Etherra moves to J-8, next to Kelleth

Etherra can only nod at seeing Saphiro wearing the same magical vestments as her. Seeing Saphiro mentally crush the orc, Etherra has other plans. Plans which include moving the smelly ogres & orcs out of her face and into a better position for the melee combatants...She raises her staff high, and bangs it hard onto the ground. A shockwave rises from the ground....rippling up and outwards. It pops hard against the orc & ogre, wracking his head & bones, while he rides the ground like a wave, and ends up a good distance away from her and closer to the melee combatants.

"Delivery. Returned goods." says Etherra to anyone listening.

OOC: Is there any reason Thunderwave doesn't target the friendly, Grim? The attack is listed as each creature in the blast. He's at max HP, so worse case scenario is a scratch. If it does target him, you can either change your mind, or take the result of the roll I made secretly for it. I'll let you use the remaining rolls you already made if you just roll with it.

It is a blast 3, so a 3x3 square area. I place the blast at my corner. Grim wouldn't be in the blast. The squares effected should be:

OOC: For some reason, I had you at K9 after your move. Oops.

So, my UPS seemed to die last night, which randomly turned off my computer. I lost my most recent "status block" and quite a bit of turn history in my program manager, hence no morning update for my new and improved response times :? . Please take a quick look at the current block I post here and just check that I didn't miss anything too vital.


Striding into the room, Etherra slams her staff inot the ground and knocks the nearest enemy combatants back towards her more physically minded counterparts. Then, almost as an afterthought, she produces yet another crumbling skeleton to clutter the battlefield.

Kelleth quickly dashes around the ogre to flank it with Hulk, then swings a fiery blade at the creature, singeing it severely.

Move action - Aspect of Agility to shift to F2 and gain a +2 bonus to AC and Reflex until the end of my next turn.

Standard action - Halo of Fire against Red.

Halo of Fire Red (CA, 24H, Oath) (1d20+13+2+1=29, 1d20+13+2+1=27, 2d12+10=16) /

Hits AC 29 for 18 (the second die roll was a 1, which is treated as a 3 due to my Avenging Resolution feat) fire damage, and on a hit, until the end of my next turn, any enemy that ends its turn adjacent to the target takes 9 fire damage.

Oh, and readying Iron Mind now that I think of it.

With a sudden burst of speed, Kelleth dashes around the wounded ogre and lashes out with a burning blade. His attack strikes true, and leaves little but a smoldering corpse behind. As he and Hulk contemplate the flaming ground, yet another ogre begins to materialize, this time in the center of the room.

Somewhat frantic at this point, the other ogre barks out another series of orders and forces itself through Etherra's magical terrain features. Holding its club at the ready, it waits for a nearby orc to advance and distract Grim before it attacks. With an impressive show of dexterity, Grim manages to sidestep both wild swings. Infuriated, the ogre roars in rage and swings yet another shot at the warlock. The hit lands solidly for 14 damage. OOC: Jon has several options in response to this attack, and I cannot image him not using one of them. I'll let him decide his response then finish the monster's turns.

As the ogre's swing nears Grim, pure darkness extends from the warlock, enveloping the ogre.

Darkspiral aura vs green ogre DS Aura (6d6=20) Hits for 22 necrotic and psychic damage (forgot to add the 2 for psychic focus), causing Grim's aura to reset to 1, and the ogre is weakened for his attack. If this bloodies green, spreading the curse.

Struck by the warlock's dark powers, the ogre is wracked with pain and it's blow falls light. (damage reduced to 7). Enraged, it follows the attack with a brutal backswing backed by evil intentions. Thankfully for Grim, the aftereffects of the pain prevent the Ogre from putting his full strength behind the blow. (5 damage)

Seeing what happened to the ogre, the orc thinks better of attacking the warlock and takes aim at the wizard. The blow lands cleanly for 9 damage.
