Lan attacked by both swarms at the same time, with cuts appearing all over his skin (12 total damage from the swarms). He sees an opportunity and tells Khav to get out of the way, taking another bite from the flying kruthik (2 damage from Sharn).

Khav also is attacked by a swarm (6 damage), but manages to leap around the rubble and stab through the swarm, killing a number of the creatures (13 dam to Blue Swarm). The half-orc focuses on the leader again, and is now ready to strike a powerful blow (shroud on Hive Lord).

OOC: Not sure how to deal with the auras and delaying. I figure it should only apply to each character once per round. So, Lan will not get hit again by the swarm auras. Also, Ardent Alacrity would seem not to to trigger, because the aura is not an "attack."

Lan sends some healing thoughts towards Sentinel and then focuses all his anger and gravity into a whirling attack around him. He stops for the briefest moment before whirling around a second time. Satisfied, he teleports himself and Sentinel to swap places, leaving all the kruthiks in a state of confusion and instinctual helplessness.

Lan heals Sentinel (Sentinel regains 12 HP, +1 def UENT Lan) and swings his glaive in a wide arc around, just barely missing a swarm. He does, however, kill a lot of the freshly hatched creatures in the other swarm and manages to finish off the winged kruthik (9 damage to Sharn, 14 damage to Blue Swarm, Sharn is dead, Blue is bloodied, -3 def UENT Lan). Seeing the kruthiks reeling, Lan attacks again, this time hitting everything left alive, obliterating one of the swarms in the process (14 damage to Swarms, Red is dead; 9 damage to Hive Lord, Hive Lord -3 def UENT Lan).

Before it can even do anything, the hive lord can even act it feels the residual fire burn its hide and a weird explosion inside of it (5 Fire and 5 Thunder damage to Hive Lord). It rears back and shoots yet another acid blast, this time at Sentinel and Khav. Sentinel is able to resist it thanks to Lan's mental boost, but the acid penetrates Khav's skin (8 acid damage, bloodied, +5 temp HP (H-O R), weakened/5 acid OGD to Khav). The young kruthik leader shows incredible fortitude by overcoming the lingering fire and thunder (save success on both).

The last remnants feel the aftereffects of Sentinel's attack, as well, and a few more die (5 Thunder damage). Smelling blood, they move as a group into Khav's area, but can't seem to hit him.

Sentinel steps between the kruthiks and raises his new blade. A soundless thunder explodes from the sword, killing the last critters in the swarm, but missing the Hive Lord entirely (Sword Burst (+7 I, +1 CE) (1d20+8=21, 1d20+8=13, 1d6+5=11)) (11 dam to Blue Swarm, killed).

As if reading his mind, Lan moves into a flanking position with Khav and strikes with his falchion just seconds after Khav attacks. The impact distracts the hive lord long enough for Khav to slip aside, leaving an opening for Sentinel.

Khav walks around and waits for Lan to help. As Lan steps up to the Hive Lord, distracting it. This allows Khav to stab his sword into the gut of the kruthik. The half-orc twists the blade as he pulls it out (CRIT! for 42/2=21 damage, -2 to att UENT). Lan follows up with his own slash, also connecting. This new cut causes profuse bleeding and slightly dazes the kruthik, helping Khav to dance aside (8 dam to Hive Lord, bloodied).

The kruthik leader steps back into the room and shoots acid again, but cannot penetrate Sentinel's metal or Lan's skin.

Slipping into a flanking position, Lan raises his falchion high over his head with both hands and brings it slicing down through the hive lords carapace. His blade cuts neatly through, giving Khav the opening to reposition.

Lan steps up and slices a leg clean off of the Hive Lord (16 dam to Hive Lord).

The Hive Lord then steps back and unleashes another acid blast. Sentinel cannot resist the acid, while it seems like twice as much material hits Lan and none of it comes close to Khav (Sentinel takes 9 damage, Lan critted for 10 damage, flub vs. Khav, Sentinel and Lan are weakened/5 acid OGD, save ends). While making the attack, the kruthik feels a small amount of arcane pain coursing through him (3 damage to Hive Lord from WLR).
