It's D&D. We kill things and take their stuff. Thats how it works.

I would also prefer to fight over talking. Eager to try out Aspect of Elevated Harmony.

Ok, I can go with that. Besides, it makes this fun power much more usable. =)

if we fight these guys, Victor said he would focus on the bodyguard, so I was thinking maybe I should try to charge from little enemy to little enemy, and take as many of them out as I can as fast as I can. does that sound good, or should I assist against the big guys?

I'd do whatever seems natural. They are spread out, and you are a charging based character, so I'd have at it. With a little luck, Allena will have marked the core of the room early in the first round of combat. That will further increase your options.

I have a question for Jon. Since this is a semi social situation, will we need to ready weapons at the outbreak of combat?

No. We are assuming that since Zark and his crew had their weapons out, you guys do as well.

it looks like the dwarves are outnumbered. I can charge over and help them if you guys think it's necessary.

I wouldn't worry about it. We're tough, and I can easily resummon Emyn over to are side of the map to help out. Finish off your enemies first.

I agree with Gary. Besides, Geron is going to help Ered on my turn, defender that he is.

I would shift one square up to flank yellow or shift one square down to flank green.

Yeah, this didn't work out as I had hoped. I had hoped that Allena and a striker could tie up the two in the right corner and take little/no damage between them while the rest got crushed by the rest of the party. Stupid lizards seem to want to mob the platemail wearing shieldmaiden ;)

I only just realized that Geron's at-will "Iron Fist" grants the resist all 4 as an effect. That means hit or miss. Good news.

Anyhow, regarding this battle, I think we all were a little surprised how quickly the enemies engaged from the other end of the map. However, even though we couldn't really bottleneck the the top group anywhere, Allena and Geron have managed to effectively mark/threaten every enemy. Now all we need to do is focus fire away.

Guessing that its bloodied value is 25, blue has about 22 hp left. Marcus, Geron, and Berna should be able to finish him off before he attacks with flanking. I had a suggestion for the next few moves.

I think Marcus could use pressing strike to G20 (the left side of blue); he would be slightly vulnerable there, but he has full health and would set up flanking with blue for Berna.

It seems Geron's best move would be to stay where he is, use a second wind and to weather the storm. I don't know the battle-mind that well, but I thought Iron-Fist on blue would help mitigate the upcoming damage.

If blue is still alive, Berna could swoop into I20, flank him, and hopefully kill him.

This plan seems to keep the party together and well positioned, I am worried about Geron, but I think he should be able to reduce a lot of dmg. If Blue dies before Berna's turn, she would be able to set up flanking red.

Obviously, I am anxious to beat this fight. I welcome any comments about these suggestions. But I expect this week will be slow because of the holiday. Hope everyone has safe travels and happy Thanksgiving!
